Humans and societies function within cycles that are mirrored in the sky by the locations of the planets and the Moon going around the Sun. Just as it is possible to consider the basic personalities of the people invited to a party and predict what kind of party might result, it is possible to use planetary analysis to anticipate the qualities of the human social field on Earth during a given period of time. Astrology can predict how individuals might be feeling, just by knowing the archetypal influence of each planet plus the Moon. Astrology is the highest art for analyzing human behavior, and smart people use it. How have we gotten to this critical juncture? Why are 1999 through 2011 so critical for the survival of our species? My recent book Catastrophobia (2001) theorizes that we are afflicted with a crippling, species-level, post-traumatic stress syndrome that I call "catastrophobia". This trauma complex developed 11,500 years ago as the result of a great cosmic catastrophe in our solar system. This malaise in the collective psyche of our species deepened during thousands of years after the 9500 BC cataclysm, when our ancestors endured starvation and horrific environmental stress. Before this time during the Regional Underworld-100,000 BC through AD 2011--Earth was the Garden of Eden; we experienced oneness with our planet. These events that separated us from nature are deeply buried in our minds. Just like adults who once endured early-childhood abuse that they've largely forgotten, we must heal ourselves by recovering these memories and understanding how they have changed us.
Catastrophobia presents evidence that Earth's axis did not tilt very much before 9500 BC, when the cosmic disaster disarranged the whole solar system. Therefore, AstroFlash! is structured by seasonality--equinoxes and solstices-because once the axis tilted, early humans quickly learned how to maximize their potential by arranging their lives by the seasons. Seasonality is not taken into account much in modern times, but it actually has a huge influence on human consciousness. George W. Bush invaded Iraq exactly during the Spring Equinox of 2003 because the Elite knew this moment had formative potential. This was also Day Tree of the Galactic, so this invasion caused events that will influence the rest of the Galactic Underworld.
Once Earth's axis tilted 11,500 years ago, the new seasons necessitated agriculture for human survival, and gradually hunter-gatherer cultures gave up their ways of life that were in harmony with nature. Focus on the seasons and lunar cyles goes way back to more than 10,000 years ago, which is why AstroFlash! examines them in detail. Uranus rules cultural transformations, and by its foundation chart, the United States is very influenced by Uranus. Now that we are moving into the Age of Aquarius, which Uranus rules, the USA is poised to become the global empire. The ancients discovered they could assess politics realm by examining the conjunctions of Jupiter and Saturn every twenty years-the Trigons. The current Elite, the "Bushites", seized the agenda of the recent May 2000 Trigon. This has enabled them to run the show during the Galactic Underworld, so this site examines their obvious use of astrology. It offers advice on how individuals can get out of the way, as the so-called "leaders" create mass-trauma events, such a 9/11. These things are done because they stimulate catastrophobia and fear.
AstroFlash! breaks the four seasons down into three lunar cycles within the context of major planetary transits. I offer some lunar and seasonal chart comparison with background charts (see Methodology) by means of combust (less than 1 degree by conjunction) aspects. We begin with how you can master seasonality. This is written for people north of the equator, yet if you live south of the equator, just reverse summer and winter.
Seasonality
The New Year is not January 1st! The new year-the Spring Equinox-occurs around March 21, when the Sun enters 0 degrees Aries by geocentric astrology. For Earth, this is when the Sun is directly over the equator. Then it tracks north until it reaches the Tropic of Cancer at 0 degrees Cancer during the Summer Solstice around June 21. Then it turns back and crosses over the equator at 0 degrees Libra during to the Fall Equinox around September 23. It moves south of the equator until it reaches the Tropic of Capricorn at 0 degrees Capricorn on the Winter Solstice around December 21. Then the Sun seems to move north again for its return to the equator for the next Spring Equinox. Of course, the Sun only seems to move in this pattern from Earth's view, since the phenomena is caused by the tilt of Earth's axis as it orbits the Sun during a solar year.
The modern calendar abuses our conciousness! The time to make plans for each year is during the Spring Equinox, not during the so-called "New Year". The most philosophical and spiritual time of the year is the Winter Solstice, which is reduced to addictions and consumerism by Christmas shopping, eating, and drinking. In fact, December 21st to March 21st, the last quarter of the year, is our yearly completion time. The special days and nights right before the Winter Solstice are the most mystical time of the year, and we should meditate for hours during this time. Then when the Sun is in Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces before the Spring Equinox, we should be deepening our understandings of all the things we have learned during the last nine months-the previous Spring Equinox to the Winter Solstice.
The Spring Equinox is the time to identify the intentions we wish to fulfill during the four seasons. Ideas correctly seeded at the Spring Equinox manifest for a year, and I will offer instructions for correctly seeding ideas and manifesting them through the rest of the seasons. During the Summer Solstice, the time has arrived to birth these ideas into recognizable form, like a forming fetus. The Fall Equinox is the time to flesh out, balance, and assess these creations and to weed things out that just are not working. Then the Winter Solstice is the time to enter into deep contemplation to imagine how our personal creations assist others and the planet.
The Winter Solstice is the time to be brutally honest and evaluate whether our ideas enhance others or whether they may actually be detrimental for evolution. A sweet elixir of knowing comes the day of the Winter Solstice when the light begins to return, and each one of us can put greater realities above our personal desires. It is no accident that in Western cultures commercial Christmas is inserted just when people are amazingly psychic and attuned! I suggest you cancel Santa Claus during the Winter Solstice and spend three months reflecting on what you've created during the year.
2007 Fall Equinox: September 23, 2007 / View Chart
The Fall Equinox has arrived when we balance and harvest our Spring Equinox intentions, which have unfolded and launched new things during the summer. If you have been carefully nurturing these new creations for the last six months, you can easily balance them now; this releases their potency. We each came to Earth to create something special, and this potential emerges in the spring and becomes whole during the summer. Then like a gentle out-breath, these creations clarify in the fall. If you have been co-creating very intentionally during the last six months, it is time to find the fulcrum of the "teeter totter," the playground board that stretches out your creative intent. Your power exists on the balance point between the opposite ends! We lose energy when we're out on either end of the board; for example, when we constantly weigh our needs against the needs of others with whom we are in our relationship. This is the year of the advanced unifying synthesis of Day Five of the Galactic Underworld, when the threads leading to the next stage of evolution weave together. Amidst this great creation of the eighth Underworld, it has become critical to master the co-creative process with divine realms, and working with seasonality is the easiest way. The equinoxes and solstices ameliorate the high-frequency energy emanating from the Galactic Center, which helps you to accurately identify your desires. To begin, what were your Spring Equinox intentions this year? How well have they been unfolding during this summer? And, once you have a sense of how they are working out, ask yourself: What are the unfinished parts that always arise when we are changing? What do you need to do during the next few months to securely locate yourself in the potent power point of the balance beam, the fulcrum? Once a new creation is perfectly balanced, it becomes a line of energy that stretches out into infinity and runs through all the other dimensions enfolding our solid world. You can think of this in terms of Superstring Theory and Brane worlds; we exist in the 3D Brane, photons are points of light in 3D that become long strings through all the other dimensions, connecting us to all that exists. Because of the density of our Brane, it has rare to fully balance new creations in 3D, but now the time has come to master this skill; the Galactic Center is blasting open access to the multidimensional strings. When you are balanced in this dimension while you create, you are in the Now, a subtle concept that many have alluded to. The easiest way to get there and stay there is by using the seasons, especially since Pluto on the Galactic Center is closely transiting the seasonal ingresses during 2006 through 2008. Time-access to the Now-is located in the Galactic Center, and we are moving into attunement with the Center. Each one of us needs to be in the Now while the other dimensions open in our world.
So, work with me now. Make sure you remember your intentions and then assess how you are doing with them. As you approach this new Equinox, are you staggering back and forth because you're adding new extraneous things, or are you struggling to stop a process that is already in gear that you think you didn't choose? The level of guidance from divine forces is so strong in our lives now that we're often not sure why we are doing things; we must surrender. Maybe you are leaning to one side or the other after you filled in some elements of a new creation? For example, let's say you decided to create a relationship with a partner who would be good at allowing you to pursue something that is very important to you right now. You've been exploring your creative pathway joyfully, and then during the summer you had a great time going deeper because there was no drain on your energy. But, meanwhile, you also wanted a partner. So where is your relationship at with this person right now? And what do you need to do to balance this relationship with your creative work, so that even more creativity will be possible this winter? When you start to feel things draining, stop to look and listen for a moment.
The "advanced unifying synthesis" is the main theme during 2007, and what each one of us decided to create this year will be our "freedom doorways" to experience our coming enlightenment during 2011! We are getting closer and closer to being liberated from old burdensome patterns left from the National Underworld (3116 BC-AD 2011) and the Planetary Underworld (AD 1755-AD 2011) that restrict the new accelerated patterns of galactic synthesis coming in through our lives. Many of us now understand that time acceleration is driving evolution; we realize that the divine plan is unfolding right on schedule and is coming right through our individual co-creations. We are the designers of the divine plan that exists within the mind of the universe, and using seasonality to create makes our individual work much more efficient.
This fall is an especially subtle and important moment, because the more we can totally balance what we are creating, the more we will fall into deep contemplation during the 2007 Winter Solstice; this will be ecstatic. This year (2007) has been a year of miracles, and the more we can see what is actually being accomplished, the more we will fall into rapture during deep winter. So, let us look at the astrology of the Fall Equinox chart for guidance in the balancing process.
The 2007 Fall Equinox chart is a power pack for accomplishing extraordinary manifestations, which is why I took so much space to prepare you for it. The Libra solar ingress is the top of a T-square coming from Mars in 27 Gemini opposite Pluto in 26 Sagittarius, which just went direct September 7 right on the Galactic Center. To imagine how the Equinox Sun is affected by its square to the Galactic Center conjunct Pluto, I would like to say a few things about astrophysics, which explains how intelligence comes to us from the Galactic Center. Many people are puzzled by the great Galactic Alignment of 1998 that I've written so much about in The Alchemy of Nine Dimensions and in The Mayan Code. Yet the principle is actually easy to understand: The plane of the ecliptic-the Ecliptic-is where Earth and the other planets move around the Sun, and it is divided up into the Zodiac. The Milky Way Galaxy also has a plane where most of its stars are located, called the galactic plane. As our solar system orbits in the galactic plane around the Galactic Center, the Ecliptic bisects the galactic plane at a 61-degree angle. This is why the Star of David-six 60-degree angles-is a big archetype. Because of precession, which is created by the tilt of the Earth's axis, the location of the rising and setting Sun moves around the Zodiac in one full circle during 26,000 years. The closest alignment of the Winter Solstice Sun on the galactic plane's Ecliptic crossing was in 1998, and it is still very close now. This alignment caused significant changes in the physical processes of Earth (see Alchemy of Nine Dimensions) that made possible the radical time acceleration of the Galactic Underworld in January 1999.
I know that most of your brains are fogging right now, because my brain fogged plenty between 1994 through 2003 when I tried to really understand our relationship to the Milky Way Galaxy. All this is described in my books, and now it is time for more of you to comprehend these relationships. Why? Well, anyone who relates to these concepts is more open to the incredible energy coming from the Galactic Center. For the Cherokee/Maya people, the Galactic Center is the heart of the great mother, the birthing place for Earth, and the more we learn about the Black Hole at the Center, the more this ancient belief agrees with astrophysics. The reason I'm harping a bit is that I have been noticing something going on that can be very disorienting and chaotic: As the wave emanations from the Galactic Center increase, what is really in our minds is playing itself out right in front of our eyes like full-blown movies. This is occurring because the Galactic emanations are the pattern of Oneness that we are approaching, and Oneness sees no limitation to what you can create. As the old patterns that used to separate us weaken radically, the old protective layer keeping us from this power is searing away. So, look away from the old patterns-such as Bush waltzing around Iraq with a nutty look in his eyes while waving his right hand, just like Hitler did during WW II-and see instead the new patterns right under your nose, since they are coming right from your own mind!
Knowing how the center of the Galaxy influences us now, I can better interpret the T-square to the Fall Equinox Sun. Pluto has been intensifying the galactic activation during 2006-2009 because Pluto is stirring up the deepest, darkest, and most potent feelings that we are capable of holding. The Maya call the rift in our view of the galactic plane "Xbalba", which means the dark road, and it is just amazing to me that Pluto is located right on Xbalba at this time. It's as if he is a guide into the Galaxy as well as the underworld of Earth. It is as if Demeter, Persephone, and Pluto are all flying off into the center of the sky together on a magic carpet! Regarding this amazing T-square, Mars, the god of war in Gemini, is riling up all the thoughts in our minds as he opposes Pluto in Sagittarius on the Galactic Center; this tense opposition will amplify the galactic waves all fall and radically transmute the religions of the National Underworld. This opposition also squares the Libra ingress, which sets up the absolute balance point for helping all of us to know we must withdraw our support for wars being fought in the name of God. Of course, as things go on Earth, this may trigger short-term breakouts of aggression, but the people of the world will greet these events with increasing levels of disgust. People will want to know why a regression to barbarity is happening, and they will not accept it.
Whatever is going on with the Global Elite will culminate on September 21, when Mars exactly opposes Pluto, the height of power distortions, aggressions, and their cleansing. This potent energy will fold into the Fall Equinox, helping to create patterns that will play out over the next three months. Mercury in 25 Libra closely trines Mars in Gemini and sextiles Pluto in Sagittarius, so perhaps some new and good ideas will come forth. Yet, this configuration could also signal that the Global Elite will conclude they can repair their weakening position by just using more sophisticated technology. The aspects to Jupiter are interesting, which I've been watching very closely because I'm sure we are in the early stages of a serious liquidity crisis. This monetary crisis may be the only thing that will stop the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and bring to an end "America as global empire." Jupiter in 13 Sagittarius squares Uranus in 16 Pisces, suggesting that quick changes in religious structures will cause financial panics. Since the Vatican is deeply involved in global finance, perhaps the Pope will be exposed in a banking crisis. Yet, Chiron/Moon/Neptune in Aquarius sextiling Jupiter suggests that these financial difficulties will be the source of physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Chiron is the wounded healer, who inspires the most intense waking-up experiences in our lives, so this configuration suggests that financial stress will ultimately be a good thing. Of course, since we have the Moon with Chiron and Neptune, security of our homes is in question. Perhaps people will realize homes are to be lived in and not used as devices to make money? With Neptune in Aquarius close to Moon/Chiron, these experiences will be confusing in the short run, but illuminating over time.
Newly direct Venus in Leo is in close opposition to Neptune in Aquarius, which was exact September 21, the same day that Mars exactly opposes Pluto. Literally, those two oppositions will trigger events that will reverberate for three months, so watch for them and consider how they might affect your life. Venus opposite Neptune is the height of idealism and spiritual sensitivity, like an ascension experience during a Full Moon, and Mars opposite Pluto packs so much power, aggression, and depth that it can create and destroy worlds. Since we are in the middle of such rapid time acceleration, Mars opposite Pluto on the same day as Venus opposite Neptune may push neo-cons and evangelicals to the edge; they may reveal themselves in a way that will bring about their own destruction. They could hang themselves by their literal beliefs while the planet around them is inexorably expanding in the Galaxy. Be calm on September 21 and dump some old stuff that needs to go! Prepare yourself on September 21 for the Fall Equinox balancing to come in only two days. Remember, what is "out there" is passing, and what is within your heart is coming forth now. Regarding the higher level of Mars opposite Pluto-the spiritual warrior-September 21 would be a great day to create the most exquisite spiritual vision of your life and then to imagine yourself defending it in Galactic councils!
The last aspect I'd like to take note of is Saturn approaching the South Node of the Moon in Virgo. First of all, Saturn went into Virgo on September 2, and we have entered into two and a half years of remembering how to be in the Now, and how to keep our houses in order. Saturn in Virgo is so calming after experiencing Saturn in Leo. Saturn on the South Node will flush out the old karmic patterns from people being over-controlled by too much patriarchy. Venus and Saturn will have their last conjunction in mid-October, when we may see the full scope of the financial crisis in housing. So, get your house in order, bury your freshly gathered nuts as the squirrels do, and prepare to hunker down into a long winter. We will move into Night Five of the Galactic Underworld in November, so it is still time to make some changes to prepare yourselves for the challenges ahead.
Virgo New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse: September 11, 2007 View Chart
It is the New Moon in Virgo, when we are inspired to create order and integrity in our lives after a wild month of creativity during Leo. The Virgo lunation is always the best time to reorder our own houses and to assess our physical health, since winter is coming and we have to get ready. The New Moon in Virgo is normally the time to think of personal healing as a first priority, yet 2007 is a little different. This is Day Five of the Galactic Underworld, the year of the "advanced unifying synthesis", and so the condition of the outer world is a critical factor in our personal healing (as I explained in The Mayan Code: Time Acceleration and Awakening the World Mind). This year I have to assess how outer events affect us much more than usual. For example, taking the larger reality into account, have you ever wondered if world events are stressing your health? Current astrology suggests this is a big issue for people this year, especially since the eclipse cycle stimulates Virgo/Pisces.
Many things changed under the Leo influence last month, and then the shift into Virgo actually began during the exquisite and intense Pisces lunar eclipse on August 28, when there was a mutable grand cross involving Uranus/Moon opposite Mercury/Sun/Saturn squaring Jupiter opposite Mars. The mutable grand square of this New Moon actually went into gear during the Pisces lunar eclipse; wherever your consciousness was stuck, it just moved! Well, new pathways have been blasted open in the world that will eventually create more freedom; it is not the collective field that is stuck, it's each one of us! It is well worth your time to examine what came unstuck in you around August 28, because you can keep on going with these changes if you identify them. And the events around August 28 are predictors for what will happen in the larger field on September 11.
In the Leo New Moon forecast last month, I said that Uranus in Pisces quincunx the New Moon in Leo would bring notable surprises and synchronicities. I thought Nature would orchestrate great earth changes and weather events, which was prophetic. The USA heartland flooded, and the surprising surge of water seemed to mirror the emotional pain of many Americans. Greece endured record heat and then burned, and there were terrible fires in other parts of Europe and the US. There was a great quake in Peru, and many people died from excessive heat around the world. Yet, in the new reality we live in, with so many things changing so fast, few paid any attention to Peru and the other devastations, as if people can't handle the waves of suffering.
Well, during this New Moon, Uranus opposes the Sun/Moon in Virgo, which will cause great surprises to awaken our hearts and minds. Structures that are too rigid may fracture, and the correct response is to just let things go. Neptune quincunxes the New Moon, pushing us faster and faster into oneness and into feeling how we are each part of the whole. Also, Uranus in 16 degrees Pisces is exactly quincunx Venus in 16 Leo. Venus wants us to connect to one another and Uranus wants us to be free, so we just might discover during the advanced unifying synthesis that our freedom lies within our connections. Or, you might feel bummed by a lack of connections and finally reach out. Meanwhile, Nature expresses her feelings in weather and earth changes, and major earth change events (including financial cataclysms, since money is energy) may occur during this eclipse with a mutable cross to emphasize that it is time for all of us to stop resisting Earth's processes and to be present for others in need.
I'm opening this discussion in a general way because the August 28 lunar eclipse and the Virgo New Moon solar eclipse are asking each one of us to think and feel way beyond the boundaries of our small worlds. Many of us were enraptured by the beautiful red Moon on August 28, and we felt drawn into deep mysticism when the Moon darkened and stars sparkled like diamonds in the black sky. Now, the Virgo solar eclipse is going to melt old patterns, so that new approaches to life will emerge naturally. Both the August 28 and September 11 eclipses are greatly intensified by the mutable grand crosses, which encourage us to just move along and change. The potential for fluid personal change was very high around August 28, and world events at that time got things going that will tend to gel during the Virgo New Moon: US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, the Bush sycophant who reveled in judicial abuse, resigned; Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran announced the US was losing in Iraq and that Iran was ready to come forward to fill the power vacuum; and the world financial markets went through a mini-meltdown that spotlighted the capital collapse that had begun after the Leo New Moon on August 12. These mutable grand squares are changing the world right now, and the one that is of interest to us is the grand cross during this Virgo New Moon eclipse.
During this solar eclipse, Uranus in Pisces closely opposes the Sun/Moon in Virgo, and Mars in Gemini opposite Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius squares the Uranus/New Moon opposition. This mutable (shifting and moving) configuration is going to create great changes in very formative areas of our lives, since Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, and Uranus stress the New Moon. Many things need to shift and change now, because these major planets are about to move into cardinal (new motivations) signs: Mars goes into Cancer in late September 2007, Jupiter goes into Capricorn mid-December 2007, Pluto into Capricorn in early 2008, and eventually Uranus into Aries near the end of the Mayan calendar in 2011. Saturn will move into Libra in late 2010, which will result in some extraordinary squares between planets in cardinal signs that many astrologers believe will be a time of global financial collapse. While we still have the fluidity of the mutable planets, it would be wise for all of us to use them to make necessary changes. Also, what goes on during these mutable grand squares will forecast how change will play out.
The sense I want to convey is that right now, the mutable placements offer a lot of movement potential that we will not have in a short time; now is the time to make changes in your affairs and relationships. Let's look closer at this current flexibility, which is being catalyzed by the late-summer eclipses.
Mars in Gemini inspires us to use our minds instead of our bellies while negotiating the great religious and political shifts being inspired by Jupiter's journey through Sagittarius. Jupiter is slowly approaching Pluto in Sagittarius on the Galactic Center, and Jupiter/Pluto on the Galactic Center in December 2007 is going to wrench the world religions out of their narrow-minded positions. The Virgo lunation reminds us to stay poised in the current moment no matter what is going on around us, while opposing Uranus in Pisces hammers us with one world event after another tugging out the compassion that lies deeply buried in our hearts. We have residues in our cellular memory of thousands of years of history that are passing away now like old videos. We know the old ways will never come back, and we can't see the outline of the new worlds coming in; we are like shells building calcium geometrical structures that have no building plans. These new worlds have nothing to do with Blackberries, IPods, corporations, the media, and lottery tickets, and all we can do is respond to the great call of Nature in the winds, waters, and rocks where new life is formulating. Since Uranus is involved in this grand square in close opposition to the eclipsed Sun, forget avoiding big changes; you cannot.
Remember those great bumper stickers like "Transmute or Die", or "Transmute Now to Avoid the Rush"? I wondered when that time would arrive and it is now, and there are other vehicles of change in this New Moon chart. Jupiter in Sagittarius trines Venus in Leo, suggesting that bold, feminine courage will come forth now. Uranus in Pisces exactly quincunxing Venus suggests that transformations by means of deep compassion are going to push women on stage to force them to remember they are as strong or stronger than men. The actress Angelina Jolie, with a serpent-dragon tattoo on her left arm boldly displayed for the media, had the awesome courage to go to Afghanistan and Iraq during the August 28 lunar eclipse to spotlight world attention on the hideous waves of suffering being caused by the American invasions. The wave of refugees is reaching Biblical proportions while the UN does almost nothing. Americans calculate the daily casualties of the troops and contract workers, which are a small percentage of the refugees and deaths caused by the saturation bombings in neighborhoods filled with civilians. Bombers run by remote control with no pilots graze people's neighborhoods! Attention to this terrible pain is coming because Pluto went direct on September 7, a few days before this eclipse. Pluto will move back over the Galactic Center in late October, when the obscene carnage will shock the world. During this eclipse, Pluto opposes Mars the god of war, and few people will be able to escape the truth about the disaster that the US has spawned.
Avoiding seeing the truth about how each one of us is connected to events in the world is over now because Saturn went into Virgo on September 2; the real condition of structures, systems, and vital processes will become visible. After all, Pluto was retrograde from March 31 until a few days ago, and then Venus went direct on September 8 to make her last conjunction with Saturn on October 13. Now we can see that the Venus/Saturn conjunctions-July 1, August 13, and October 13 2007-are spotlighting a housing collapse and global liquidity crisis. This crisis is not going to go away for sure because it is following astrological transits so exactly, as I've already indicated. As many followers of this website know, I have been harping at everybody to get out of debt for about two years, and you can still do a lot to help yourself if you can just see how serious this problem really is. Just like the Katrina victims, nobody is going to rescue you! Using time-acceleration theory time lines (see The Mayan Code), we are now at the same point in Day Five of the Galactic Underworld as we were in 1929 of Day Five of the Planetary Underworld. The crash is already in gear, and in 1929 it was stocks, while in 2008-2009 the losses will be in cash instruments and reserves.
In case this freaks you out, let me offer you a rather novel thought. The US is spilling blood and exploding bombs while using the media to convince the public that the war is just GIs handing out candy. These actions will come home again and again until enough Americans care about the people of Iraq. So, how is the US going to get what it deserves so the war will stop? Well, it's going to be money, America's god! Meanwhile, all you have to do now is conserve and share with your community, friends, and family. Allow yourself to see what America is causing in the world, because this karma is coming home unless people get honest. Saturn (father) has just gone into Virgo close to the lunar South Node during the eclipse, and Saturn will conjunct the lunar South Node in October. Saturn in Virgo until late 2009 will bring forth truth, because the New Moon in 18 Virgo is close to Neptune in the 1776 USA founding chart. In the USA chart, Neptune in 21 Virgo closely squares Mars in Gemini in the 7th house, which is the cause of America's tendency to delude itself and get into foreign wars that it cannot win, such as Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq. Therefore, this solar eclipse will probably hammer home the fact that the USA never won the war in Iraq or Afghanistan and it never will. Meanwhile, in spite of the mess in the larger field, during this wonderful, grounded, and mutable eclipse many ideas about your potential future contributions will be available to you. You will feel much better because you will find yourself able to do things finally after feeling blocked for so long.
During these latter days of the Mayan Calendar, I've often noticed that Neptune in Aquarius (1998-2012) is the big teacher. The blue planet of advanced spirituality (and/or outrageous delusion) is slowly opening us to remember the Aquarian codes of peace, brother/sisterhood, and justice during the end of the Calendar. As we progress into enlightenment and oneness during this painful historical period, Neptune has often been the guide on the path into the dark forest. During this solar eclipse, much information comes from Neptune, which opposes newly direct Venus in Leo, trines Mars in Gemini, and closely quincunxes the New Moon in Virgo. Neptune challenges the feminine within to boldly come out into the world (Venus in Leo) and inspire deep compassion; he works to alleviate masculine aggression by promoting mental clarity (Mars in Gemini); and Neptune nudges the eclipsed Sun to shift soundly into clear focus and practicality (Sun/Moon in Virgo). Of course, as Neptune quincunxes this New Moon in Virgo, he also quincunxes the 1776 USA natal Neptune, which will be exact during 2008 and 2009. Neptune retrograded while quincunxing the 1776 Neptune in late May 2007, and he goes direct the end of October 2007 to return to an exact quincunx to the USA Neptune during March 2008; subtle inner Neptunian change is about to shift into a high gear.
With such significant aspects to Neptune during this solar eclipse, it is time for each one of us to use our minds, deepest intuition, and practical skills to accomplish the important evolutionary advancements that are available now. What are they? We have reached the moment in the Days and Nights of the Mayan Calendar when it is time to adopt true spirituality instead of allowing organized religions to run the world. We must do this now, and this eclipse shows great potential for many to make this leap as Night Five approaches. The blood, gore, and sexual abuse perpetuated by religious wars will not carry you through Night Five. Only great spirituality and love of nature will support you as the old systems crumble and fall away. How have we gotten to this critical juncture? Why are 1999 through 2011 so critical for the survival of our species? Catastrophobia presents evidence that Earth's axis did not tilt very much before 9500 BC, when the cosmic disaster disarranged the whole solar system. AstroFlash! breaks the four seasons down into three lunar cycles within the context of major planetary transits. I offer some lunar and seasonal chart comparison with background charts (see Methodology) by means of combust (less than 1 degree by conjunction) aspects. We begin with how you can master seasonality. This is written for people north of the equator, yet if you live south of the equator, just reverse summer and winter.
Seasonality
The New Year is not January 1st! The new year-the Spring Equinox-occurs around March 21, when the Sun enters 0 degrees Aries by geocentric astrology. For Earth, this is when the Sun is directly over the equator. Then it tracks north until it reaches the Tropic of Cancer at 0 degrees Cancer during the Summer Solstice around June 21. Then it turns back and crosses over the equator at 0 degrees Libra during to the Fall Equinox around September 23. It moves south of the equator until it reaches the Tropic of Capricorn at 0 degrees Capricorn on the Winter Solstice around December 21. Then the Sun seems to move north again for its return to the equator for the next Spring Equinox. Of course, the Sun only seems to move in this pattern from Earth's view, since the phenomena is caused by the tilt of Earth's axis as it orbits the Sun during a solar year.
The modern calendar abuses our conciousness! The time to make plans for each year is during the Spring Equinox, not during the so-called "New Year". The most philosophical and spiritual time of the year is the Winter Solstice, which is reduced to addictions and consumerism by Christmas shopping, eating, and drinking. In fact, December 21st to March 21st, the last quarter of the year, is our yearly completion time. The special days and nights right before the Winter Solstice are the most mystical time of the year, and we should meditate for hours during this time. Then when the Sun is in Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces before the Spring Equinox, we should be deepening our understandings of all the things we have learned during the last nine months-the previous Spring Equinox to the Winter Solstice.
The Spring Equinox is the time to identify the intentions we wish to fulfill during the four seasons. Ideas correctly seeded at the Spring Equinox manifest for a year, and I will offer instructions for correctly seeding ideas and manifesting them through the rest of the seasons. During the Summer Solstice, the time has arrived to birth these ideas into recognizable form, like a forming fetus. The Fall Equinox is the time to flesh out, balance, and assess these creations and to weed things out that just are not working. Then the Winter Solstice is the time to enter into deep contemplation to imagine how our personal creations assist others and the planet.
The Winter Solstice is the time to be brutally honest and evaluate whether our ideas enhance others or whether they may actually be detrimental for evolution. A sweet elixir of knowing comes the day of the Winter Solstice when the light begins to return, and each one of us can put greater realities above our personal desires. It is no accident that in Western cultures commercial Christmas is inserted just when people are amazingly psychic and attuned! I suggest you cancel Santa Claus during the Winter Solstice and spend three months reflecting on what you've created during the year.
2007 Fall Equinox: September 23, 2007 / View Chart
The Fall Equinox has arrived when we balance and harvest our Spring Equinox intentions, which have unfolded and launched new things during the summer. If you have been carefully nurturing these new creations for the last six months, you can easily balance them now; this releases their potency. We each came to Earth to create something special, and this potential emerges in the spring and becomes whole during the summer. Then like a gentle out-breath, these creations clarify in the fall. If you have been co-creating very intentionally during the last six months, it is time to find the fulcrum of the "teeter totter," the playground board that stretches out your creative intent. Your power exists on the balance point between the opposite ends! We lose energy when we're out on either end of the board; for example, when we constantly weigh our needs against the needs of others with whom we are in our relationship. This is the year of the advanced unifying synthesis of Day Five of the Galactic Underworld, when the threads leading to the next stage of evolution weave together. Amidst this great creation of the eighth Underworld, it has become critical to master the co-creative process with divine realms, and working with seasonality is the easiest way. The equinoxes and solstices ameliorate the high-frequency energy emanating from the Galactic Center, which helps you to accurately identify your desires. To begin, what were your Spring Equinox intentions this year? How well have they been unfolding during this summer? And, once you have a sense of how they are working out, ask yourself: What are the unfinished parts that always arise when we are changing? What do you need to do during the next few months to securely locate yourself in the potent power point of the balance beam, the fulcrum? Once a new creation is perfectly balanced, it becomes a line of energy that stretches out into infinity and runs through all the other dimensions enfolding our solid world. You can think of this in terms of Superstring Theory and Brane worlds; we exist in the 3D Brane, photons are points of light in 3D that become long strings through all the other dimensions, connecting us to all that exists. Because of the density of our Brane, it has rare to fully balance new creations in 3D, but now the time has come to master this skill; the Galactic Center is blasting open access to the multidimensional strings. When you are balanced in this dimension while you create, you are in the Now, a subtle concept that many have alluded to. The easiest way to get there and stay there is by using the seasons, especially since Pluto on the Galactic Center is closely transiting the seasonal ingresses during 2006 through 2008. Time-access to the Now-is located in the Galactic Center, and we are moving into attunement with the Center. Each one of us needs to be in the Now while the other dimensions open in our world.
So, work with me now. Make sure you remember your intentions and then assess how you are doing with them. As you approach this new Equinox, are you staggering back and forth because you're adding new extraneous things, or are you struggling to stop a process that is already in gear that you think you didn't choose? The level of guidance from divine forces is so strong in our lives now that we're often not sure why we are doing things; we must surrender. Maybe you are leaning to one side or the other after you filled in some elements of a new creation? For example, let's say you decided to create a relationship with a partner who would be good at allowing you to pursue something that is very important to you right now. You've been exploring your creative pathway joyfully, and then during the summer you had a great time going deeper because there was no drain on your energy. But, meanwhile, you also wanted a partner. So where is your relationship at with this person right now? And what do you need to do to balance this relationship with your creative work, so that even more creativity will be possible this winter? When you start to feel things draining, stop to look and listen for a moment.
The "advanced unifying synthesis" is the main theme during 2007, and what each one of us decided to create this year will be our "freedom doorways" to experience our coming enlightenment during 2011! We are getting closer and closer to being liberated from old burdensome patterns left from the National Underworld (3116 BC-AD 2011) and the Planetary Underworld (AD 1755-AD 2011) that restrict the new accelerated patterns of galactic synthesis coming in through our lives. Many of us now understand that time acceleration is driving evolution; we realize that the divine plan is unfolding right on schedule and is coming right through our individual co-creations. We are the designers of the divine plan that exists within the mind of the universe, and using seasonality to create makes our individual work much more efficient.
This fall is an especially subtle and important moment, because the more we can totally balance what we are creating, the more we will fall into deep contemplation during the 2007 Winter Solstice; this will be ecstatic. This year (2007) has been a year of miracles, and the more we can see what is actually being accomplished, the more we will fall into rapture during deep winter. So, let us look at the astrology of the Fall Equinox chart for guidance in the balancing process.
The 2007 Fall Equinox chart is a power pack for accomplishing extraordinary manifestations, which is why I took so much space to prepare you for it. The Libra solar ingress is the top of a T-square coming from Mars in 27 Gemini opposite Pluto in 26 Sagittarius, which just went direct September 7 right on the Galactic Center. To imagine how the Equinox Sun is affected by its square to the Galactic Center conjunct Pluto, I would like to say a few things about astrophysics, which explains how intelligence comes to us from the Galactic Center. Many people are puzzled by the great Galactic Alignment of 1998 that I've written so much about in The Alchemy of Nine Dimensions and in The Mayan Code. Yet the principle is actually easy to understand: The plane of the ecliptic-the Ecliptic-is where Earth and the other planets move around the Sun, and it is divided up into the Zodiac. The Milky Way Galaxy also has a plane where most of its stars are located, called the galactic plane. As our solar system orbits in the galactic plane around the Galactic Center, the Ecliptic bisects the galactic plane at a 61-degree angle. This is why the Star of David-six 60-degree angles-is a big archetype. Because of precession, which is created by the tilt of the Earth's axis, the location of the rising and setting Sun moves around the Zodiac in one full circle during 26,000 years. The closest alignment of the Winter Solstice Sun on the galactic plane's Ecliptic crossing was in 1998, and it is still very close now. This alignment caused significant changes in the physical processes of Earth (see Alchemy of Nine Dimensions) that made possible the radical time acceleration of the Galactic Underworld in January 1999.
I know that most of your brains are fogging right now, because my brain fogged plenty between 1994 through 2003 when I tried to really understand our relationship to the Milky Way Galaxy. All this is described in my books, and now it is time for more of you to comprehend these relationships. Why? Well, anyone who relates to these concepts is more open to the incredible energy coming from the Galactic Center. For the Cherokee/Maya people, the Galactic Center is the heart of the great mother, the birthing place for Earth, and the more we learn about the Black Hole at the Center, the more this ancient belief agrees with astrophysics. The reason I'm harping a bit is that I have been noticing something going on that can be very disorienting and chaotic: As the wave emanations from the Galactic Center increase, what is really in our minds is playing itself out right in front of our eyes like full-blown movies. This is occurring because the Galactic emanations are the pattern of Oneness that we are approaching, and Oneness sees no limitation to what you can create. As the old patterns that used to separate us weaken radically, the old protective layer keeping us from this power is searing away. So, look away from the old patterns-such as Bush waltzing around Iraq with a nutty look in his eyes while waving his right hand, just like Hitler did during WW II-and see instead the new patterns right under your nose, since they are coming right from your own mind!
Knowing how the center of the Galaxy influences us now, I can better interpret the T-square to the Fall Equinox Sun. Pluto has been intensifying the galactic activation during 2006-2009 because Pluto is stirring up the deepest, darkest, and most potent feelings that we are capable of holding. The Maya call the rift in our view of the galactic plane "Xbalba", which means the dark road, and it is just amazing to me that Pluto is located right on Xbalba at this time. It's as if he is a guide into the Galaxy as well as the underworld of Earth. It is as if Demeter, Persephone, and Pluto are all flying off into the center of the sky together on a magic carpet! Regarding this amazing T-square, Mars, the god of war in Gemini, is riling up all the thoughts in our minds as he opposes Pluto in Sagittarius on the Galactic Center; this tense opposition will amplify the galactic waves all fall and radically transmute the religions of the National Underworld. This opposition also squares the Libra ingress, which sets up the absolute balance point for helping all of us to know we must withdraw our support for wars being fought in the name of God. Of course, as things go on Earth, this may trigger short-term breakouts of aggression, but the people of the world will greet these events with increasing levels of disgust. People will want to know why a regression to barbarity is happening, and they will not accept it.
Whatever is going on with the Global Elite will culminate on September 21, when Mars exactly opposes Pluto, the height of power distortions, aggressions, and their cleansing. This potent energy will fold into the Fall Equinox, helping to create patterns that will play out over the next three months. Mercury in 25 Libra closely trines Mars in Gemini and sextiles Pluto in Sagittarius, so perhaps some new and good ideas will come forth. Yet, this configuration could also signal that the Global Elite will conclude they can repair their weakening position by just using more sophisticated technology. The aspects to Jupiter are interesting, which I've been watching very closely because I'm sure we are in the early stages of a serious liquidity crisis. This monetary crisis may be the only thing that will stop the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and bring to an end "America as global empire." Jupiter in 13 Sagittarius squares Uranus in 16 Pisces, suggesting that quick changes in religious structures will cause financial panics. Since the Vatican is deeply involved in global finance, perhaps the Pope will be exposed in a banking crisis. Yet, Chiron/Moon/Neptune in Aquarius sextiling Jupiter suggests that these financial difficulties will be the source of physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Chiron is the wounded healer, who inspires the most intense waking-up experiences in our lives, so this configuration suggests that financial stress will ultimately be a good thing. Of course, since we have the Moon with Chiron and Neptune, security of our homes is in question. Perhaps people will realize homes are to be lived in and not used as devices to make money? With Neptune in Aquarius close to Moon/Chiron, these experiences will be confusing in the short run, but illuminating over time.
Newly direct Venus in Leo is in close opposition to Neptune in Aquarius, which was exact September 21, the same day that Mars exactly opposes Pluto. Literally, those two oppositions will trigger events that will reverberate for three months, so watch for them and consider how they might affect your life. Venus opposite Neptune is the height of idealism and spiritual sensitivity, like an ascension experience during a Full Moon, and Mars opposite Pluto packs so much power, aggression, and depth that it can create and destroy worlds. Since we are in the middle of such rapid time acceleration, Mars opposite Pluto on the same day as Venus opposite Neptune may push neo-cons and evangelicals to the edge; they may reveal themselves in a way that will bring about their own destruction. They could hang themselves by their literal beliefs while the planet around them is inexorably expanding in the Galaxy. Be calm on September 21 and dump some old stuff that needs to go! Prepare yourself on September 21 for the Fall Equinox balancing to come in only two days. Remember, what is "out there" is passing, and what is within your heart is coming forth now. Regarding the higher level of Mars opposite Pluto-the spiritual warrior-September 21 would be a great day to create the most exquisite spiritual vision of your life and then to imagine yourself defending it in Galactic councils!
The last aspect I'd like to take note of is Saturn approaching the South Node of the Moon in Virgo. First of all, Saturn went into Virgo on September 2, and we have entered into two and a half years of remembering how to be in the Now, and how to keep our houses in order. Saturn in Virgo is so calming after experiencing Saturn in Leo. Saturn on the South Node will flush out the old karmic patterns from people being over-controlled by too much patriarchy. Venus and Saturn will have their last conjunction in mid-October, when we may see the full scope of the financial crisis in housing. So, get your house in order, bury your freshly gathered nuts as the squirrels do, and prepare to hunker down into a long winter. We will move into Night Five of the Galactic Underworld in November, so it is still time to make some changes to prepare yourselves for the challenges ahead.
Virgo New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse: September 11, 2007 View Chart
It is the New Moon in Virgo, when we are inspired to create order and integrity in our lives after a wild month of creativity during Leo. The Virgo lunation is always the best time to reorder our own houses and to assess our physical health, since winter is coming and we have to get ready. The New Moon in Virgo is normally the time to think of personal healing as a first priority, yet 2007 is a little different. This is Day Five of the Galactic Underworld, the year of the "advanced unifying synthesis", and so the condition of the outer world is a critical factor in our personal healing (as I explained in The Mayan Code: Time Acceleration and Awakening the World Mind). This year I have to assess how outer events affect us much more than usual. For example, taking the larger reality into account, have you ever wondered if world events are stressing your health? Current astrology suggests this is a big issue for people this year, especially since the eclipse cycle stimulates Virgo/Pisces.
Many things changed under the Leo influence last month, and then the shift into Virgo actually began during the exquisite and intense Pisces lunar eclipse on August 28, when there was a mutable grand cross involving Uranus/Moon opposite Mercury/Sun/Saturn squaring Jupiter opposite Mars. The mutable grand square of this New Moon actually went into gear during the Pisces lunar eclipse; wherever your consciousness was stuck, it just moved! Well, new pathways have been blasted open in the world that will eventually create more freedom; it is not the collective field that is stuck, it's each one of us! It is well worth your time to examine what came unstuck in you around August 28, because you can keep on going with these changes if you identify them. And the events around August 28 are predictors for what will happen in the larger field on September 11.
In the Leo New Moon forecast last month, I said that Uranus in Pisces quincunx the New Moon in Leo would bring notable surprises and synchronicities. I thought Nature would orchestrate great earth changes and weather events, which was prophetic. The USA heartland flooded, and the surprising surge of water seemed to mirror the emotional pain of many Americans. Greece endured record heat and then burned, and there were terrible fires in other parts of Europe and the US. There was a great quake in Peru, and many people died from excessive heat around the world. Yet, in the new reality we live in, with so many things changing so fast, few paid any attention to Peru and the other devastations, as if people can't handle the waves of suffering.
Well, during this New Moon, Uranus opposes the Sun/Moon in Virgo, which will cause great surprises to awaken our hearts and minds. Structures that are too rigid may fracture, and the correct response is to just let things go. Neptune quincunxes the New Moon, pushing us faster and faster into oneness and into feeling how we are each part of the whole. Also, Uranus in 16 degrees Pisces is exactly quincunx Venus in 16 Leo. Venus wants us to connect to one another and Uranus wants us to be free, so we just might discover during the advanced unifying synthesis that our freedom lies within our connections. Or, you might feel bummed by a lack of connections and finally reach out. I'm opening this discussion in a general way because the August 28 lunar eclipse and the Virgo New Moon solar eclipse are asking each one of us to think and feel way beyond the boundaries of our small worlds. Many of us were enraptured by the beautiful red Moon on August 28, and we felt drawn into deep mysticism when the Moon darkened and stars sparkled like diamonds in the black sky. Now, the Virgo solar eclipse is going to melt old patterns, so that new approaches to life will emerge naturally. Both the August 28 and September 11 eclipses are greatly intensified by the mutable grand crosses, which encourage us to just move along and change. The potential for fluid personal change was very high around August 28, and world events at that time got things going that will tend to gel during the Virgo New Moon: US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, the Bush sycophant who reveled in judicial abuse, resigned; Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran announced the US was losing in Iraq and that Iran was ready to come forward to fill the power vacuum; and the world financial markets went through a mini-meltdown that spotlighted the capital collapse that had begun after the Leo New Moon on August 12. These mutable grand squares are changing the world right now, and the one that is of interest to us is the grand cross during this Virgo New Moon eclipse.
During this solar eclipse, Uranus in Pisces closely opposes the Sun/Moon in Virgo, and Mars in Gemini opposite Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius squares the Uranus/New Moon opposition. This mutable (shifting and moving) configuration is going to create great changes in very formative areas of our lives, since Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, and Uranus stress the New Moon. Many things need to shift and change now, because these major planets are about to move into cardinal (new motivations) signs: Mars goes into Cancer in late September 2007, Jupiter goes into Capricorn mid-December 2007, Pluto into Capricorn in early 2008, and eventually Uranus into Aries near the end of the Mayan calendar in 2011. Saturn will move into Libra in late 2010, which will result in some extraordinary squares between planets in cardinal signs that many astrologers believe will be a time of global financial collapse. While we still have the fluidity of the mutable planets, it would be wise for all of us to use them to make necessary changes. Also, what goes on during these mutable grand squares will forecast how change will play out.
The sense I want to convey is that right now, the mutable placements offer a lot of movement potential that we will not have in a short time; now is the time to make changes in your affairs and relationships. Mars in Gemini inspires us to use our minds instead of our bellies while negotiating the great religious and political shifts being inspired by Jupiter's journey through Sagittarius. Jupiter is slowly approaching Pluto in Sagittarius on the Galactic Center, and Jupiter/Pluto on the Galactic Center in December 2007 is going to wrench the world religions out of their narrow-minded positions. The Virgo lunation reminds us to stay poised in the current moment no matter what is going on around us, while opposing Uranus in Pisces hammers us with one world event after another tugging out the compassion that lies deeply buried in our hearts. We have residues in our cellular memory of thousands of years of history that are passing away now like old videos. We know the old ways will never come back, and we can't see the outline of the new worlds coming in; we are like shells building calcium geometrical structures that have no building plans. These new worlds have nothing to do with Blackberries, IPods, corporations, the media, and lottery tickets, and all we can do is respond to the great call of Nature in the winds, waters, and rocks where new life is formulating. Since Uranus is involved in this grand square in close opposition to the eclipsed Sun, forget avoiding big changes; you cannot.
Remember those great bumper stickers like "Transmute or Die", or "Transmute Now to Avoid the Rush"? I wondered when that time would arrive and it is now, and there are other vehicles of change in this New Moon chart. Jupiter in Sagittarius trines Venus in Leo, suggesting that bold, feminine courage will come forth now. Uranus in Pisces exactly quincunxing Venus suggests that transformations by means of deep compassion are going to push women on stage to force them to remember they are as strong or stronger than men. The actress Angelina Jolie, with a serpent-dragon tattoo on her left arm boldly displayed for the media, had the awesome courage to go to Afghanistan and Iraq during the August 28 lunar eclipse to spotlight world attention on the hideous waves of suffering being caused by the American invasions. The wave of refugees is reaching Biblical proportions while the UN does almost nothing. Americans calculate the daily casualties of the troops and contract workers, which are a small percentage of the refugees and deaths caused by the saturation bombings in neighborhoods filled with civilians. Bombers run by remote control with no pilots graze people's neighborhoods! Attention to this terrible pain is coming because Pluto went direct on September 7, a few days before this eclipse. Pluto will move back over the Galactic Center in late October, when the obscene carnage will shock the world. During this eclipse, Pluto opposes Mars the god of war, and few people will be able to escape the truth about the disaster that the US has spawned.
Avoiding seeing the truth about how each one of us is connected to events in the world is over now because Saturn went into Virgo on September 2; the real condition of structures, systems, and vital processes will become visible. After all, Pluto was retrograde from March 31 until a few days ago, and then Venus went direct on September 8 to make her last conjunction with Saturn on October 13. Now we can see that the Venus/Saturn conjunctions-July 1, August 13, and October 13 2007-are spotlighting a housing collapse and global liquidity crisis. This crisis is not going to go away for sure because it is following astrological transits so exactly, as I've already indicated. As many followers of this website know, I have been harping at everybody to get out of debt for about two years, and you can still do a lot to help yourself if you can just see how serious this problem really is. Just like the Katrina victims, nobody is going to rescue you! Using time-acceleration theory time lines (see The Mayan Code), we are now at the same point in Day Five of the Galactic Underworld as we were in 1929 of Day Five of the Planetary Underworld. The crash is already in gear, and in 1929 it was stocks, while in 2008-2009 the losses will be in cash instruments and reserves.
In case this freaks you out, let me offer you a rather novel thought. The US is spilling blood and exploding bombs while using the media to convince the public that the war is just GIs handing out candy. These actions will come home again and again until enough Americans care about the people of Iraq. So, how is the US going to get what it deserves so the war will stop? Well, it's going to be money, America's god! Meanwhile, all you have to do now is conserve and share with your community, friends, and family. Allow yourself to see what America is causing in the world, because this karma is coming home unless people get honest. Saturn (father) has just gone into Virgo close to the lunar South Node during the eclipse, and Saturn will conjunct the lunar South Node in October. Saturn in Virgo until late 2009 will bring forth truth, because the New Moon in 18 Virgo is close to Neptune in the 1776 USA founding chart. In the USA chart, Neptune in 21 Virgo closely squares Mars in Gemini in the 7th house, which is the cause of America's tendency to delude itself and get into foreign wars that it cannot win, such as Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq. Therefore, this solar eclipse will probably hammer home the fact that the USA never won the war in Iraq or Afghanistan and it never will. Meanwhile, in spite of the mess in the larger field, during this wonderful, grounded, and mutable eclipse many ideas about your potential future contributions will be available to you. You will feel much better because you will find yourself able to do things finally after feeling blocked for so long.
During these latter days of the Mayan Calendar, I've often noticed that Neptune in Aquarius (1998-2012) is the big teacher. The blue planet of advanced spirituality (and/or outrageous delusion) is slowly opening us to remember the Aquarian codes of peace, brother/sisterhood, and justice during the end of the Calendar. As we progress into enlightenment and oneness during this painful historical period, Neptune has often been the guide on the path into the dark forest. During this solar eclipse, much information comes from Neptune, which opposes newly direct Venus in Leo, trines Mars in Gemini, and closely quincunxes the New Moon in Virgo. Neptune challenges the feminine within to boldly come out into the world (Venus in Leo) and inspire deep compassion; he works to alleviate masculine aggression by promoting mental clarity (Mars in Gemini); and Neptune nudges the eclipsed Sun to shift soundly into clear focus and practicality (Sun/Moon in Virgo). Of course, as Neptune quincunxes this New Moon in Virgo, he also quincunxes the 1776 USA natal Neptune, which will be exact during 2008 and 2009. Neptune retrograded while quincunxing the 1776 Neptune in late May 2007, and he goes direct the end of October 2007 to return to an exact quincunx to the USA Neptune during March 2008; subtle inner Neptunian change is about to shift into a high gear.
With such significant aspects to Neptune during this solar eclipse, it is time for each one of us to use our minds, deepest intuition, and practical skills to accomplish the important evolutionary advancements that are available now. What are they? We have reached the moment in the Days and Nights of the Mayan Calendar when it is time to adopt true spirituality instead of allowing organized religions to run the world. We must do this now, and this eclipse shows great potential for many to make this leap as Night Five approaches. The blood, gore, and sexual abuse perpetuated by religious wars will not carry you through Night Five. Only great spirituality and love of nature will support you as the old systems crumble and fall away. Lastly, Chiron the wounded healer archetype is in Aquarius trining Mercury in Libra and sextiling Jupiter in Sagittarius. Chiron in Aquarius tells us that the great and ancient spiritual tap roots we carry deep within are going to support us and give us joy while we face challenging yet uplifting times.
