I have read a few chapters and i am beginning to think the author was brainwashed to write this or he himself is a reptilian. i sense this"God" to have a very big ego. its very wittingly written but i am emotionally sensing malevolent intentions here .

The title of the book tells me it's not worth reading.

It's done in automated writing, meaning he's just writing it and not thinking about it. I do this sometimes in the mornings but here its called channeling although I do not put on any display or anything, I just go with it for a while to see what I come out with (it's usually pretty strange).
I've read his book and it's pretty obvious where he stops automatic writing and just writes down whatever justifies the situation and probably not to interfer with his previous behaviours.
Its just another quasi spiritual self help book that doesn't teach any real methods of initiation, just stuff you can pick up from any other self help book.

CWG books are some of my favourite spiritual books of all time. They were some of the first books I ever read on spirituality.
I highly recommend them.
I don't care whether he wrote them or not. I don't listen - I feel.

What did you like about it??
What did you like about it??
They felt to me like someone with a sense of humour.
I read them years ago and still have them on my bookshelf. It really depends on where you are in your evolution and wakening process.
At the time I read them, I didn't find any great revelations but I did enjoy them.
I don't think Neale Donald Walsch is any more brainwashed than your average person. In book 2 he commends daddy Bush for his promotion of a New World Order. I just saw that as being naive. To those who do not understand the sinister side of it, it does seem like a good thing. Everyone living in peace and a united world. Utopia! We know that is not the case and I do believe Neale does too, now.
Many people start from the spiritual, many start from the conspiracies. Eventually, if you are paying attention, you end up opened up to both. Neale Donald Walsch, I believe, has evolved from those days.

I read the three conversations with god books a few months ago.
I liked the big idea that we are all part of god, just expressing 'itself' in all the different manifestations, because that explains how there can be a god (source, or whatever you want to call it) but still be so much misery in the world. There were many things that rang true, but too much of the author's own opinions taint the pages, such as the politics and relating everything to the USA. One thing I picked up on is 'god' told Walsch that he hadn't made a mistake for a very long time. But then elsewhere in the book it says time is an illusion. It also doesn't say what this mistake god made actually is. All in all, very good reading though.

why is god "He"? isn't god suppose to be perfect, why then consider him only a males aspect? perfection has male and female aspects.

Every person has a "god-self" - the higher self. Walsh gave up his ego-struggle at last and let his all-knowing self speak.
Thing is, it's his, not necessarily your higher self.
I love his stuff.

I read the books a few years ago, and enjoyed them
as you say i_am, there's some great stuff there
to consider.
I'm a big believer in reading all materials
to gain insight, but discernment and intuitive evaluation
after reading is important, some info is there for you at
the time of reading
I see info in books as stepping stones and convo with God is
a good place to start even if nothing else you critique it.
I do have a problem with authors not walking their talk though
it's a shame Neale Donald Walsch doesn't honour his books
by demonstration.
However, it's all a learning curve and the books should be looked over
before anyone places negative judgement on them.

BECAUSE RELIGION IS IMBALANCED BULL-SHIT,GB!!! I ask the same question to the Christians and they give me the glazed deer in the headlights look! MALE DOMINATED RELIGIONS prevent people from experiencing, and expressing the feminine energies, that have been suppressed! And I don't mean PMS energies either!!! ha ha :D PS Did you know, if a woman goes on a natural living foods diet PMS symptoms disappear and as well heavy mentruation lightens.

Errr.
Women too have a 'god-self'.
Ego is another story though:
Historically those times when women acted out their assertiveness were so bloody and gruesome that people have done their best to bury that image of women as fierce warriors.
Women can be very cruel. If you think women are cuddly little fluffy snuggly thingies you are mistaken.
Religion is imbalanced in the way it portrays male violence and not both.
"Feminine energies" are not nice and mild - they are consuming and devouring.
Wake the fuck up.

Thanx Lyddie, I read CWG#1 about 10 years ago, and they were stepping stones to WAKE THE FUCK UP, for me!!!! ha ha Esp. waking up to religions and their control issues. They kinda opened my mind a little, after all of the religious indoctrination I was subjected to.There was some good humor in them also. I agree with you.We can learn ALL experiences, even NEGATIVE ones. NDW was in Kelowna, last year($80.00 a pop) My first question, after seeing the prices for the tickets was...IS HE A JEW???? ha ha ROFL!!!:D

Apparently, God wants NOTHING!!! that's right absolutely nothing aside from you manifesting (or not) all your hearts desires.
The whole law of attraction crowd is in for a rather rude awakening soon. The authors who profit from the gullible will just scratch their head and say..."WE LOVE YOU!! YOU manifested this market crash honey! Just like the victim of rape, violent torture, and murder manifested THEIR desire sweetheart..." just like the child working in a sweat shop manifested his or her desire to coddle the overfed, over- entertained, North American consumer with their submission to poverty wages..It's the LAW OF ATTRACTION HONEY

And what "hell" is this that you speak of Oh LOVING ONE!! Such a vile and repugnant pseudo-Christian concept. How can you even use that expression in relation to Walsch? remember...GOD DOESN'T WANT ANYTHING. Hell or heaven implies some sort of volition..a will...a desire to reward or punish. AND REMEMBER...GOD WANTS NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet we're to believe that God wanted a discussion with Walsch?
He endorses the discarnate entity named "abraham" (how pathetically Old testament of them) and HIS "law" of attraction....yet "god" wants NOTHING...remember THAT!! NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN' NOTHING.

I've read parts of the book, and I can say that it's manipulation for the masses. It's quite blatant when you read it. Why even bother with this book when you can read The Power of Now or A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle? I even recommend A Course in Miracles over this thought-manipulating book.

Thanx Monique, I read #1 so long ago, I have forgotten most of it. I think the main message, is to not judge everything right or wrong..it just IS! I didn't know he supported Bush in book #2. It is probably BS,if that is the case! I have learned since back then, there is a lot of deception in the New Age movement. A half-truth is a WHOLE lie, kinda thing. BTW that is Raffles signature. Thanx Rafflesl!!! :)

AAAAAARGH.
The books are not ment for the masses, as such.
It is an exercise in Walsh getting in touch with his higher self.
Every person should get in touch with their higher self.
Not his.
How can this be explained to you?
Walsh just told his story.
He didn't tell you your story.
Mama!
Get some perspective!
Step out of your ego:
not everything is about you, you, you.
Sometimes it's about him! or her! or it!

FOREWORD by NEALE DONALD WALSCH
In preparation for the October 18, 2006 national launch date of The Law of Attraction, (our favorite book so far), we sent a copy of the manuscript to our friend, Neale Donald Walsch, one of the most delightful people we have ever met, and the following is his loving response!
This is it. Here they are. You don’t have to go any further.
Put all the other books down, un-enroll from all the workshops and seminars, tell your life coach you won’t need to be calling anymore.
Because this is it: everything you need to know about Life and how to make it work. Here they are: all the rules of the road for this extraordinary journey. All the tools with which to create the experiences you’ve always wanted. You don’t have to go any further than where you are right now.
Indeed, look at what you’ve done already. Just look.
I mean, right now, look at what you’re holding in your hands.
You did that. You put this book right here, right where it is, right in front of your eyes. You manifested it, out of the clear blue sky. That alone is all the evidence you need that this book works.
Do you understand? No, no, don’t jump over this. It’s important that you really hear this. I’m telling you that you are holding in your hands the best proof you could ever give yourself that the Law of Attraction is real, is effective, and produces physical outcomes in the real world.
Let me explain. Somewhere in the deep reaches of your consciousness, somewhere in an important place in your mind, you set an intention, or this book and its message would never have found its way to you.
This is no small thing here. This is a big deal. Believe me, it’s a big deal. Because you are about to create exactly what you set your intention to create: a major change in your life.
That was your intention, wasn’t it? Of course it was. What is occurring as you read these words wouldn’t be occurring if you hadn’t placed your attention on a deep desire to lift your day-to-day experience to a new level. You’ve wanted to do this for a long time. Your only question has been: How? What are the rules? What are the tools?
Well, here they are. You asked for them, you got ‘em. And that’s the very first rule, by the way. What you ask for, you get. But there’s more to it than that—lots more. And that’s what this extraordinary book is about. You’re going to be given here not only some pretty amazing tools, but instructions on how to use them.
Have you ever wished that life came with an Instruction Book?
Hey, good wishing. Now it does.
We have Esther and Jerry Hicks to thank for that. And, of course, Abraham. (They will tell you all about who that is in the fascinating, exhilarating text to follow.) Esther and Jerry are devoting their lives to the joy of sharing the wondrous messages that Abraham has given them. I admire and love them so much for this, and I am so, so grateful, for they are truly extraordinary people on a glorious mission to bring glory to the mission upon which we have all embarked: the living and the experiencing of the glory of Life itself, and of Who We Really Are.
I know that you will be so impressed, and so blessed, by what you find here. I know that reading this book will produce a turning point in your life. Here is not only a description of the most important law of the universe (the only one you’ll ever need to know about, really), but an easy-to-understand explanation of the mechanics of life. This is breathtaking information. This is monumental data. This is brilliant, flashing insight.
There are very few books about which I would say what I am going to say next. Read every word here, and do everything this book says. It answers all the questions you have so earnestly asked in your heart. So—may I be this direct?—pay attention.
This book is about how to pay attention, and if you pay attention to how to pay attention, your every intention can be made manifest in your reality—and that will change your life forever.
-- Neale Donald Walsch, author, Conversations with God
PUT ALL OTHER BOOKS DOWN HE SAYS, THAT MEANS HIS AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which IS a bizzare twist wouldn't you say?
and submit to the power of "abraham". manifest, manifest, manifest..CREATE, CREATE, CREATE!!!! like a creator...except, in his nihilism there CAN'T BE a creative god...because as Walsch has stated..GOD WANTS NOTHING!!
Hey...do whatever you want. I'm just trying to point out some duplicity.
Am I perfect? GOD NO!!!!!
You're right though about the "higher self" stuff....I just have NO desire
to listen to HIS higher self! Then why did I?!?! Because I love to research. And I enjoy watching the unfoldment of the "new" theology!!!
Remember, he's sold enough of his own books to invalidate their validity. EVERYTHING..I MEAN EVERYTHING you need to know about life is found in the teachings of "abraham"
E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!!!!!
and HEY!! It'll feel good too!!!
