View Full Version : ALERT ALERT - Centalised Database NHS

I received this letter this morning from the NHS in Essex.
It is to inform me that my details will go on a nationwide database unless I opt out.
This is just plain WRONG.
I have to actively OP OUT to not be on the database?
Whatever happened to being given the choice of joining? What about opting-in?
Most people, being the harassed types they are by their Common Purpose bosses will just look at it and not do anything. Time of course is a premium these days for most people.

It says "with your consent", how can they say not opting out is consent??? What if your letter gets lost in the post etc?
Regards,
Jack

Exactly - this letter is not really with your consent.
You have to consent to opt-out.
What a con.

There is an article in our local rag(herts) this week to inform everyone of this.
I opted out a long time ago along with my husband through optout.org.
Waiting to see if i get such a letter, then i'll go ballistic,i know our request was honoured because my husband had an accident and his medical records could not accessed without his written consent, not even the solicitor could get them.
I will be making sure that my whole family opt out,but i think it will be small numbers of members of public that follow suit unfortunatly.

My son came home from school with a letter saying that every pupil would be examined by a dentist as part of a scheme to "improve services in the area " -What a load of cr*p !
Again , I had to write to the health authority within one week if I wanted my child to be exempt from this , and I duly did .
It seems that they are determined to gain access to our most intimate details , our bodies etc. and catalogue us like objects. It's sickening and we must not comply.
will they create a new database with all the people that opted out in it? the ones that wouldn't`t automatically do what the authority figure in the white coat tells them to?

I tried that web site. Says page not found. Then went to nhs site. Got this page: http://www.nhs.uk/Search/Pages/Results.aspx?___JSSniffer=true&scope=&q=health+care+records
Haven't read it yet. So don't known if I can opt out online, as was my attempt.
Bastards. All and sundry can rummage around and target people.
Am going to have a little dig.

Interesting point - there'll definitely be a good few of us on that list. Oh well ..

www.nhsconfidentiality.org.
You can access it through the TPUC website in their links too.
People, the goverment want to add our DNA to our medical records.
Those of us that opt out, medical care withdrawn i suspect........in time.

Just dont use it. Calling it a 'health' service is as orwellian as it gets.

jobcentre pulled the same crap on me once......the return enevelope wasn't actually included and tehre was no return address on the letter.....or any other emans of contacting that particular sub dept. ......and this was AFTER they had been told repeatedly in every media format known to man that i was NOT CONSENTING to any of it....
the NHS has also had a signed copy of the 'big opt out' letter from me as well as the contents of the sig provided to them/ every email address i can find for them....on the internet, printed off in writing and tehy also have the video copies whilst they gang raped and tortured me.....
total waste of time! nothing gets through to these yobs who refuse to confirm or deny if they even have names or not.....

Blimey, so they're starting this off there & then I'm sure it will move across the whole country.
I hope in the meantime that enough people stand up to this so that it doesn't go all over the place, it's shocking & shouldn't be allowed!

This is freeman on the land sort of stuff..
You opened the letter, and they have presented you a contract within - either get back to them and opt out, or you give them permission to put you on the database.

The letter is addressed to "MR FULL NAME IN CAPITALS".
Therefore by opting out, you have accepted that your physical body (about which the medical records refer) is the same as, or related to, the corporate 'person' to whom the letter is addressed.
Not sure what consequences this has, does anyone else have any views?
