The girl is wearing a white dress to symbolize good/purity/the light.
The evil/darkness/cold is chasing her through the video and falls while running, tearing her dress and making it dirty. Taking away her purity, then it seems her soul is taken.
At the end she finally gives in to the darkness/cold/evil because there's nowhere else to go.
The song is depressing along with the video.
It's a beautiful video even with the dark message it holds.
