Does God speak? In that case we should endeavor to communicate somehow.
Numerous near death experiences testify of such a God.
If an omniscient God really exists, you can forget about privacy, and the only sensible thing is to be in constant communication.

take 5-7 grams of dried psilocybe mushrooms in SILENT DARKNESS. No stereo, no TV, no distractions, no parties, no people - period! It doesn't matter if you think that that is a large dose, or you'll "go crazy". You won't. These mushrooms have a very high LD 50 rate (lethal Dose 50%), roughly 1600 to 1 (equivalent to your body weight), making them one of the safest substances known to man. Only Cannabis has a higher (safer) LD 50 rating (Cannabis = 1500lb in 15 minutes to cause a toxic response). Maybe.. one should stop looking for the bottle God might be in. Or maybe I should say, one should stop looking for the Bottle one might put God into.
Isn't that what the fundamentalist are doing.. Like running around shouting, "I've got God in this Bottle here!". All their vain speakings. "Here HE is! and nowhere else!"

Drugs can open a person up.-- free one from fear and put one in touch with the super-physical. I've found those drug experiences are real,, and not just what people call hallucination. So you have found the truth and because it was an experience,, you know the truth. Now give up the drugs and live the truth.

Do you experience an intense 'emotional' reality when you take shrooms?
That's what I get when smoke weed and meditate. The experience is *really* intense and I haven't dared going all the way. Oh man, you really have got to know where to stand...
But you know, as interesting as it may seem, is this really how God wants us to keep contact?

Really? I didn't know "drugs" was an dirty word. I don't think I used the word in any sort of derogatory way. But if you insist, then I will not use the word. I have a friend who one can not say "Alchoholic" around.-- he doesn't believe in it and says it also is a dirty word made up to label a person forever.
Anywhoose.... Do as you like. I'm just offering my point of view... I am often amazed though at the few pothead friends I have and how they find such virtue in what they are doing when smoking pot.
Real spirituality does not rely on such things. Real spirituality is about giving up those things we rely on and find important. The universe is filled with infinite potential,, and often these things we hold to so dearly (Like our pensions!) are the things which will eventually prove to have hampered our development.

Rather then using "external" objects to manipulate your consciousness work on it and master it so that you will have eternal life, change "radio channels" the way you want. Mushrooms would take you some place but it would be like riding a car there. Without gas you're pretty much stuck and also cars can't "fly" :D

An omniscient God would respect your privacy, so long as you did no harm to other sentient beings.

You will get to know God by meditating on and prayer to it, as well as researching science and religious scripture.

Like that,,yes.
I remember having an experience under the influence of looking at people and actually seeing their deep need for love (and feeling my need to love), no force, not instruction, not exploitation.. but just acceptance and love. Only way to put it.
Now I could just do LSD and repeat the experience or have other similar experiences,, but that would be a waste of my time. Learning how to just accept people and love them is much more difficult and in my opinion what should actually be done with the knowledge and my time...
And there are many other things I learned and saw. But personally I feel that doing an artificial stimulus to see them,, gain insight,, would be like cheating now. Nothing really spiritual about it.

Well this is just theoretical in a way but external triggers just take you in a higher vibratory state by force so to speak and you interpret everything with your intelligence gathered in the lower vibratory state. Although if you vibrate higher on your own you with the intelligence gathered and applied on your way to this vibratory state will interpret everything as is. It is like painting a painting rather then buying one.
