People complain about the fact that mods here have a strong thing against race hate and other things, for the interest of free speech. But we need to remember, people are not who they normally are on the internet. The normal rules of debate don't exist, and people turn into children and bicker back and forth.

That's not the only reason we'd have a problem with racism and race hate, but tiswas seems to have summed it up perfectly....if "they" see this site and see people posting all the anti-semitic bile and garbage that's being posted all the time (and we LET it be posted) this site will be brought down, no prob.

tiswas, we are well aware of all this. We are quite aware that there are people who may not be as they seem. However, we have forum guidelines in place and that is the criteria used for penalising/banning people. Believe it or not it actually works pretty well.

I can see your point and its a point thats raised often in this forum, I can understand the frustration with the regular pyramid kinda ruling system we have set up here, It would be ideal to try a new way of moderation one that has a voting system on all changes/ banning etc forget the discussions of democracy vs communism/ republican/ anarchy etc as we would find out how is best to organise things but there is the technical aspect of it forums like this are out of the box software and i dont know of any that would allow for such systems to work without alot of hard coding of php!

I don't know the exact reasons why people get banned, but but considering the VERY tolerant and easy-going nature of the mods and FA's, I'd have to assume it was warranted.

You may not have noticed, because you do very little absorbing and too much walking around with a big stick - pointing out the flaws of other's thinking per your perception, but a lot of us have moved on from the conspiracy angle. No, I'm not all that interested.

I hardly ever read what december had to say. I know the northern European/Russian situation very well. It was OK by me that he was speaking his mind though. Didn't bother me.

My mind is my own, you see, not belonging to somebody else. I don't get the jitters if somebody comes along with a different view. Not my problem.

I do have a problem with fascists trying to shut people up though.
