A crackdown on drink-fuelled violence across Greater Manchester has seen 395 people arrested after a 24-hour blitz by police.

Operation Portcullis started early on Friday with a series of raids aimed at tracking down those suspected of drink-fuelled crime.

Throughout the night officers said they "locked down" Manchester city centre to stop people carrying weapons.

It is the way in which a lock down does this - it effects INNOCENT people more than those who are guilty. It is non targeted.

If you have listened to the NEW PROJECT CAMELOT VIDEO about the plans for WW3 and Martial Law - you would understand how locking down cities is part of that plan. The Police need to practice this because they need to know how it would work.

i saw an advert on TV last night and it said that police would now be spending approx 80% of their time on the beat.

...and we all know how those police like to pull over their nice little sterotypes don't we...

weed is one element they will never control.. :D the police are looking for money for the force.. there in a recession as well!! i wounder how much they made in fined in that 24 hours? if they dont make money they will have to cut jobs.. ell its inevitable anyways, my guess is TPTB want to have the army on the streets and when the financial collapse kicks in we will see the police force disappear and find troops doing there job on our streets..

I know someone who is a copper and he says that this is going to be hard to achieve because as people leave they are not replacing them, and are having all their rest periods cancelled on a regular basis now as the heat rises, he says certain areas have so many unemployed that it woud;nt make much of a difference to these places, but as officers are relocated or hired out the people in the rough places know there is an absence and robberies climb, the only way to do things is to use the T A and other grassgate techniques to gather information, like a pay to pollute program, which never works, because the criminals will pay more to counteract the problem, paying out in threats.

For sure one of the reasons the prohibition of drugs remains is because those in a position to change the law have a vested interest in the illegal trade. I also believe they don't like cannabis because they are aware of its mind opening potential, they prefer to shut down the frontal lobe with alcohol and prescription drugs.

Gary Webb's excellent book 'Dark Alliance' outlines not only how the CIA controls the cocaine trade, but also actively played a part in fueling the crack epidemic that started in the 80s.

It's not only the US authorities that are involved with the drugs trade, I know for a fact European military forces bring the drugs in. I've spoken with British and Dutch military personnel who have told me how they bought kilos of drugs in under the supervision of their superiors. The Dutch were even being paid by the UN to police the Caribbean and stop cocaine coming out of Latin America, when they were in fact, actively facilitating its smooth transition to European shores.

Icke's already mentioned it himself, that traffic wardens, security officers etc. now have cards to allow them to perform arrests, house searches etc. so basically they'll become the police and the police will become the military.

My guess, and it's Mancs ;), is that as in the EU Greece is known for it's rebellious nature so is being used as a testing ground, as is Manchester. Ie. if they can get away with it in these places they believe they can get away with it on a larger scale.

Officials swear the country would save billions in medical costs by coming up with a glass that does not double up as a lethal weapon.

Just imagine if the whole of british pubs required to change to these new antidrunk glasses, glasses that one sip and you become passive. I wonder who has shares in the glass manufacturers.
