Amy Williams Gold Theory

I just woke up, saw the big story of Amy Williams' Gold medal and thought to myself....... Is this probably one of the best British performances for years or is there more to it.
To start with, there's the name link with Prince William and then the Olympics. Got me thinking 2012 ZION and all that.
Does anyone else think it's just a coincidence of name or are the powers that be drumming it into our system ready for the new messiah?
I just thought it was strange that it was our alleged number 2, just compare their wikipedia pages to see their differences in success so far:

Then there's the alleged dodgy helmet (Ooooh errrrr missus) that the Canadians are complaining about. I had a quick look to see what they are on about and it does seem to me that it does not follow the guidelines.

Didn't the rules just say the helmet should have no spoilers in the second comment?

AUSTRALIA'S queen of extreme, Torah Bright,
is in the box seat to claim the gold medal
in women's snowboard halfpipe final this afternoon.

Bright qualified first in this morning's
heats at Cypress Mountain.

The 23-year-old Australian flag-bearer
at these Winter Olympics was the first rider into the pipe
and immediately set the standard,
completing a smooth run to score 41.2 points.

However 2002 Olympic champion Kelly Clark (USA)
raised the stakes soon after, laying down a high-scoring run
of 45.4 points to take the lead.
Spain's Queralt Castellet also
trumped Bright's first run score with a 44.3.

Bright, from Cooma, responded to the challenge
by increasing the degree of difficulty of her run,
adding one of the highest-scoring manoeuvres
in the women's competition, a switch backside 7
(double spin with her feet switched),
which wowed the judges
and earned her the best score of the qualifying round,
45.8 points.

None of her competitors could match her second run
leaving her to progress directly to the final as
the No.1 qualifier.

“The first run I just wanted to play really safe,
so I could use the second one as a practice run
for the final and it all went well,” she said.

Clark acknowledged the threat from the Australian.

“Torah's been riding great so I am happy for her
landing such good runs,” she said.

The top six from the heats session
qualified directly for the medal round,
including Clark, Castellet,
2006 Olympic champion Hannah Teter (USA),
X Games winner Gretchen Bleiler (USA)
and Chinese 18-year-old Sun Zhifeng.

Australia's second ranked rider Holly Crawford
missed direct qualification by just 0.4 of a point (39.5),
finishing seventh and will now have to qualify
through this afternoon's semi-finals.

However she will be the top-ranked rider in that round
and is more than likely to join Bright in the 12-woman final.
Crawford, 26, from Sydney, said she was
confident of getting through to the top 12.

“I will stay on the same run for the semi-finals
and save something for the final,” she said.
