The 10 most intriguing extrasolar planets
The first planets outside our solar system were spotted in 1990, in orbit around a dying, radiation-spewing star very different from our Sun. In the years since, scientists have turned up even stranger worlds.
Starting in 1995 with 51 Pegasi b - the first extrasolar (or exoplanet) discovered around a normal star - planet hunters have found alien worlds that run the gamut in terms of diversity. There are large, gassy giants and small and rocky worlds. Some are two-faced worlds of fire and ice, and some float eerily through space, bound to no star.
In the dozen years since the discovery of 51 Pegasi b, the number of known and suspected exoplanets has climbed to nearly 230. Here are some record holders and oddballs.

Prophecies of the return of the "Shekinah," which had left the Temple and city of Jerusalem in the days of Ezekiel, are repeated in Zechariah. These same prophecies are also fulfilled in the historical period and record of Zechariah. To better understand these prophecies it is necessary to have an acquaintance with the history of the "Shekinah."
Objection is made that the word "Shekinah," (), is not found in the scripture in its noun form and that it describes a concept that is not scriptural. It is said that the word is coined by Post-biblical Rabbinic scholars. While it is admitted that the Rabbinic concept of God being a hovering non-personal force is an unacceptable extension of meaning, the concept of a physical manifestation of God's localized dwelling is none-the-less scriptural. We have chosen to use the word "Shekinah," (shknh) , to name this "presence" since this meaning is in general distribution among many Christians, albeit ignorant of the origin of the word.
The word was coined from verbal cognates in the Bible which describe the "presence" of God in a locality. The verbal cognates are copiously used to describe the "Shekinah" appearances. The word "Shekinah," itself is not in the biblical text but the concept, as I have defined it, clearly is. The word most certainly is derived from "shakan," and whoever first used the word "Shekinah" coined it as a substantive (noun form) from the verbal forms used to describe the "abiding, dwelling, or habitation" of the physical manifestations of God described in Ex 24:16; Ex 40:35, Nu 9:16-18; and numerous other places where "shakan" is used. The word is also used to describe the mystical "Shekinah" presence in the tabernacle. The word "mishkan," (), a derivative of "shakan," (), is often translated "tabernacle." The Hebrew for tabernacle is more often simply "ohel," (), or tent. "Mishkan" means "dwelling place." That is, the "dwelling place" of "Him who dwells" or "Shekinah."

Timkat (Epiphany) is the most important festival in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church calendar. It commemorates Christ's Baptism by St. John in the Jordan River. Prana is a Sanskrit word for "life air" or "life force". In China it is known as cchi, in Japan as ki, in Polynesia as mana. It is present all over the universe both in macrocosm (space) and microcosm (bodies of living beings). Its proper flow in our bodies assures their healthy state.
Prana is a subtle material energy arising from rajo guna. It works as an interface between gross and subtle body, enabling all the psychophysical functions (i.e. animation - from Latin "anima"). This sometimes leads to confusion of prana with jiva. Although they are very closely connected, prana is witnessed by the jiva which is floating in prana in the heart cavity. Katha Upanisad 1.3.1 says:

"O Naciketa, the expansions of Lord Visnu as the tiny living being (jiva) and the Supersoul both stay within the cave of the heart of this body. Those who are well-versed in knowledge of Brahman and those householders who carefully follow the Vedic regulations say that the difference between the two is like the difference between a shadow and the sun."
Prana's movement leads to jiva's identification with the gross body (SB 4.29.71). Mundaka Upanishad (3.1.9):

""The atomic soul can be perceived by perfect intelligence as floating in the five kinds of life airs (prana, apana, vyana, samana and udana). When the consciousness (that pervades from the soul through the entire body) is purified from the contamination of the five kinds of material airs, its spiritual influence is exhibited.""
Prana is one but acts in different ways. Lower pranas control the senses and are under the control of main prana controlled by the Paramatma according to desire and karma of the jiva. Vedanta-sutra, Bhagavata Purana 4.25-28 (serpent analogy), Prasna Upanisad and other scriptures contain elaborate descriptions of prana. Various Eastern healing methods and martial arts work with prana.
Prana is mentioned in many Upanisads as well as Vedanta-sutra. A story in the Chandogya Upanisad describes how the senses had a dispute who among them is the most essential. The ear left for one year, returns and asks the others how they were doing without him. In a similar way the other senses also quit for a while. When the breath (prana = life) gets ready to leave, the other senses all understand that he is most essential. Without breath the body can't live.
Ten pranas ("life airs") - Prana, Apana, Samana, Udana, Vyana, Naga, Krkara, Kurma, Devadatta, Dhananjaya (for definitions see below the commentary to SB 3.6.9) and their actions are mentioned by spiritual masters (acaryas) in their commentaries to Bhagavad-gita 4.27. The life airs circulate in the 72.000 nadis and meridians of the human body.

3.6 In the heart verily is the Jivatma (soul). Here arise 101 nadis (subtle pranic channels). Each of them has 100 sub-nadis. Each sub-nadi has 72.000 branch nadis. The Vyana moves in them.
3.7 But by one of these 101 nadis the up-going Udana leads by virtue of good deeds to the worlds of the good, by sin to worlds of the sinful, by both to worlds of the men indeed.
3.8 (The cosmic correspondences are): the sun is the reservoir of the cosmic light or Prana. He rises helping the microcosmic Prana to see objects. The goddess who presides over the Earth (Bhumi) is the cosmic Apana and she helps man by attracting the downwards the apana of the person. As was shown before, 'prana' is a name of the Supreme Lord as well as the name of the life force he creates. In the sruti-sastra, the original prana is addressed in the plural (pranah). This indicates the variegated manifestations of the one original Supreme Lord. (Vs 2.4.2) SB 2.10.36
The plurality of the word pranah cannot be applied to the created life force, because pranah is identified with 'asat.' As was shown before, asat is the state of nonmanifestation after the annihilation of the cosmos. Asat is also a name of the Supreme Lord. Hence pranah cannot refer to material variety. The variety indicated is transcendental. (Vs 2.4.3) SB 2.10.43,44
Speech exists before the cosmic manifestation. Hence prana as the name of the Supreme Lord is a word of that transcendental speech, not the mundane speech of the created world. (Vs 2.4.4) SB 6.16.51
It might be falsely argued that if the prana or life force accompanies the soul at the time of death, this prana must have no origin, just as the soul has no origin. But this standpoint is false. Prana is created, as the elements of the universe are created. (Vs 2.4.8) SB 2.10.15
It might be falsely argued on the basis of certain sastric statements that the prana or life force is the material element air (or the vibration of air, the activities of air or a condition of air). But in fact prana is created separately from that element; the scriptures likewise describe their functions separately. It is thus a special kind of air. (Vs 2.4.9) SB 2.10.15-17

Sakti Tattva is twofold: Mayasakti and Citasakti; Mayasakti is the stuff of Samsara, while Citasakti is Purusa and Prakrti from which come Brahma, Vishnu, Siva and all living beings, and matter. They are conscious and inert elements. She is Avikrti, Prakrti and Vikrti: Changeless matter, matter, and changed matter; She is also Being, Consciousness, and Bliss. The saktas take pain to explain that Purusa and Prakrti (Consciousness and matter) of Samkhya philosophy are one and the same integrated unit and not two separate entities.
Maya consists of three gunas; Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas. Avidyam (ignorance) is maya with dominance of Rajas and Tamas, while dominance of Sattva in maya is Vidya, present in Yogis and gods (Brahman included in this category), and Turiya sakti is Mahavidya, pure Bliss. Mahavidya = Great wisdom = Exalted Science = Pure Bliss. Plural = Mahavidyas = personification of the ten female Saktis of Siva.

Devi is Mahamaya having two contextual meanings with reference to the Maya aspect and Brahman aspect. In Maya aspect She is the Great Maya, none greater than her; in Brahman aspect, she is the Great possessor of the Great Maya. Analogy of silkworm is used to explain these aspects of Instrumental and material cause of beings and universe. The silkworm is the instrumental and material cause of the the silk (thread) cocoon: the will to make silk and the ability to spin silk from its body. Devi willed to create this world of beings and matter; Maya is the material that makes moving and non-moving things. Will is Brahman and Maya is material. (Silkworm female moth lays 200 to 500 eggs of the size of a pin head on mulberry leaves (Morus alba) and anchors the eggs with glue. The egg hatches next spring and the larva (0.25 inch or 6.4 mm) consumes leaf many times its size and in six weeks it is about 3 inches long (76 mm). The larva evacuates its alimentary tract and shrinks in size. It spins an outer shell called floss and later a continuous thread of silk of 2000 to 3000 feet around its shrinking self over five to eight days. It enters the chrysalis stage for about two to three weeks, after which the adult silk moth emerges, lays its eggs and dies. One ounce amounts to 20 to 40 thousand eggs. One ounce of eggs will yield 100 pounds of cocoons or 9 lbs of raw silk; one pound of cocoons are the yield of 15 to 20 pounds of mulberry leaves. Another ref. says that about 6000 worms are necessary to make 1KG of raw silk. Now silkworms are bred to produce fine silk. Killing the pupae is the first step followed by reeling or filature for silk fibers. These fibers, up to 50 in number, are twisted to produce silk filaments, two or three of which are twisted to make a strand, ready for weaving.

At human level, the soul is compared to the larva trapped in its own cocoon of five body sheaths: the food sheath, the vital-air sheath, the mental sheath, the intellectual sheath, and the bliss sheath. The soul has to break out of these sheaths to achieve Bliss or release from Samsara. The body with nine openings is considered as a floating vessel in the sea of Samsara. The vessel is flooded with sea water through the holes and is about to sink in the sea of Samsara. The Sakta begs Devi to rescue him from drowning. You are Mahavidya; my Vidya is no Vidya at all; it is actually Avidya. Mahavidya = Great or Supreme knowledge; Avidya = lack of spiritual knowledge. Avidya makes man forget Mahamayi (Mahavidya, Mahasakti) and concentrate on samsaric entities like family, work and matter.
Devi is the essence in everything and everybody. She is all things to all beings, the animate, and the inanimate. She is Brahman, meaning that she pervades in everything, animate or inanimate, virtue and evil, good and bad, like and dislike, charity and stealth, punyam and papam, heaven and hell, creation and destruction, waking and sleep, Atma and mind, Prana and senses, atoms and molecules, consciousness and unconsciousness, bondage and liberation, fighting and reconciliation, prosperity and poverty, reverence and irreverence, intelligence and stupidity, Vidya and Avidya, pride and shame, and error and rectitude. She possesses all attributes. She is the stealth in the thief; She is the love between lovers; She is the enmity between foes; She is the sacred knowledge in yogis; She is the knowledge in the punditahs. (She is the compassion and the forgiveness in Jesus Christ; and She is the holiness in Ramana Maha Rishi and Ramakrishna Parmahamsa.) She is the death and the regeneration in Siva; She is the terror in Mahā Kali (Durga). She is the dharma (duty and righteousness) in Rama and Yuddhistra; She is the valor in Arjuna. She is the heat in the fire. She is the dominant quality in anything or anybody in this universe, yet She transcends all these qualities and is never stained or affected by them. She is like the sun radiating heat and light, yet not affected by its qualities.

Unlike Samkhya philosophy where physical saktis such as hunger, thirst, memory, intellect, wakefulness, sleep, and sattvika, Tamasic, and Rajasic Gunas are unconscious elements, Tantra sastras regard them as conscious elements. Since Devi exists as a conscious element in sleep (Devi as hypostasis of everything), sleep is one element of consciousness.

In this chaos lived the Ogdoad of Khmunu (Hermopolis), four frog gods and four snake goddesses of chaos. These deities were Nun and Naunet (water), Amen and Amaunet (invisibility), Heh and Hauhet (infinity) and Kek and Kauket (darkness). The name of the water of chaos was Nun.
It was from Nun (Nu) that Ra (or Amen, another of the Ogdoad who became prominent Middle Kingdom onward, and joined with the sun god as Amen-Ra) created himself, rising up on the first piece of land - the primeval mound (Benben) out of the water lily (lotus) blossom, born from the world egg, or as a bnw-bird who then found and landed on the mound.
The First Time then began and Ra was thought to have created the universe, including his children - other gods. He brought Ma'at - order - to chaos.
