I've just recently got into it after dl-ing a few torrents, it feels dope, like you're high, but I'm not entirely sure if it it the right technique. So fellow members, how did you start with it, and what do you recommend from your greater experience, links, books, videos etc. I'd greatly appreciate any help.

Only things that I know about it is that you shouldn't be in depression while practicing meditation, your spine should be straight, your mind should be in silence of thoughts, and breathing in three ways. yea, don't know much

Yeah, that's basically it. There's nothing more I can tell you, because meditation is a very personal thing. You just have to keep doing it, and learn from experience. Try meditating on a bed, that gets me really deep! Also, it's best while meditating not to expect a certain thing from it.....y'know.....don't try really hard to have an out of body experience, or try to achieve something, because you'll never reach it, you have to let yourself go, ride the tide, and don't analyze it!

Maybe you'll like to join my meditation group here on the David Icke forums?? We choose particular dates/times to meditate at the same time, and the results are amazing!

thanks soglad, I expected that kind of answer, just needed to make sure, I'm not trying to achieve the out of body stuff, it's just a fun trip, ride the tide concept seems right, it's more fun when you don't know what will happen, I'll see where it will go from there

the group looks aight, with great noble intentions, I'll probably join as I get more used to it

Ah yes, I love meditation, sometimes I have to make myself come back! Have any psychadelic experiences yet?

nothing, but I don't have such expectations, it's just one of the many tools, helps to block egoistical influences and programming

May I add a piece of humble advice as I am someone who got into conspiracies through meditation not meditation through conspiracies, I have been into yoga since I could read (or look at the pictures), Taoism for at least 10 years and practiced Zen meditation for now over 7 and from Taosim and Zen, I got into Hermeticism.

If you try to ease your way into meditation without absolute effort and concentration, you will get nowhere…Imagine a person drinking through a straw, once the water goes below the straws level, you will not be able to drink any more until you lower your straw back into the liquid.

The Philosopher’s Stone is made over 9 months and in that time it goes through what would take over 90 thousand years of evolution, yet after all that work you will be very lucky if you get 10 millilitres of it. But, with this 10ml you can transmute gallons.

This is the same with meditation. If you find just a tiny millisecond of clarity in a 20 minute meditation, you will have progressed further than thousands of hours of apathetic meditation (which is prescribed by most). If you meditate like you mean it every time you will be moving forward each meditation and never standing still. There is no going back, for just like metals, once you transmute a metal into a higher principal, you can’t de-transmute it back into its lower.

The only danger is stagnation, which leads to erroneous philosophies, desperation and denial.

How to cultivate this clarity? You’ve got to find out how to do it yourself. But some tips are to be ever relaxing because otherwise you will simply start to relocate your thoughts to tension in your body. Listen out for mental music, this is one of the hardest things to be aware of and then let go.

Like most philosophies say, just let go of your thoughts, but you need to learn to let go of them quickly, literally thousands of times a second or they will gang up on you and once you’ve learnt this you need to learn how to do that for more than a second or so.

Lastly, my biggest tip is do not do it for ego purposes. I’ve done many meditations for over three hours and they were good but the best experiences I’ve ever had were from short meditations where I simply take about 15 minutes relaxing my body and then 5 minutes in high concentration. If it’s not going your way, don’t try to sit it out, go do something else, go for a walk and maybe you’ll be in a better frame of mind for it later.

If your hyped up to play a game of chess or a basketball match then you’ve got to be extremely hyped to meditate, try to approach each meditation like it is the world championships of your favourite game. How can anyone take a game seriously and not the mind? The mind is the ultimate game and you can come face to face with your biggest adversary, yourself. Good luck.

i absolutely agree chris. i find that when I give my meditation 100% effort, the results are 10fold compared to half-assed ones.

good post.

lol, it wasn't like I was in meditation and it came to me through a vision:D

I got into conspiracies from many different angles at the same time so I can't quite pin point when I woke up...I did a lot of research on Alchemy and from there naturally you find secret societies and then conspiracies, my dad was in The Round Table and I was surprised when I saw David Icke talking about them which made me look deeper.

I knew about the NWO before this though but since the sites I was reading was literally just plain text, I thought though this may be true, there is no stopping them as I thought those sites were the only ones speaking out.

how to meditate...
one say you have to do it like this, the other say you have to do it like that.

Only things that I know about it is that you shouldn't be in depression while practicing meditation, your spine should be straight, your mind should be in silence of thoughts, and breathing in three ways. yea, don't know much
maybe different kind of meditations exist, each probably have a different effect.
if you want enlightenment, i think there's only one kind of meditation that is most correct... most straight to the point...

(enlightenment as in, feel deeply happy/blissful all the time... no matter how much pain you have,
or how great your lack of pleasure is. you never really want anything anymore, because you are always fullfilled.)

when i read all these things you mentioned, i'd say they're all wrong.
because to experience "enlightenment",
it doesn't matter how you sit, or how perfectly you can pronounce the different tones of the word "AUM".

posture, etc.. don't have that much to do with it.
and if you are depressed, that's a good reason to meditate.

because meditation when practiced the way it should be,
gives you enlightenment.

if you want to know more about how to "really" meditate...
try the guided meditation in my signature...

if you like it,
maybe read "the diamond in your pocket" by Gangaji.
and afterwards "I am that" by Nisargadatta Maharaj.

when you finish that second book,
you should need no book at all anymore because words can only help you up to a certain point.
from there on it is up to you.

don't be discouraged because you think it's too hard,
because it's really easy actually.

peace:)
