Valentines Day

We all now it's valentines today.
No point in not pointing it out.

We all know it's a manufactured holiday(not talking iPod manufactured, but you get the idea).

However, do you still think it's not worth celiberating?

I mean, it's just a day where you have a reason to do something just abit extra special for someone you care about, you know.

But what do you all think? :)

I hate the fact that this is the day your supposed to be romantic, kinda controlled dont ya think, thing is if i want to buy someone cocs and flowers i'll just do it, its mad how some people exspect it, some of my mates have gone into mass depressions because they didnt get a card and they dont feel special and some are like 'wheres my f'ing card' to there fellas i just think the whole thing is SHITE! :D lol rant over!!

good point! its not that bad to forget that day and you can surprise the one you love at any given time not only on valentines day..

I can understand people don't like it.

I don't like how people EXPECT things to happen for them.

But it's nice if someone is giving you a card. Or if you just let someone know you care, you know. :)

yes but it doesnt necessarily have to be on that occasion. to love s.o. and be loved is occasion enough
of course it also can be on valentines day but it is controlled. it has to come from the heart not habit

Valentine's Day! Another programme to follow - I still give the wife a gift and some love - no point in upsetting people, but I still recognise what utter nonsence it all is. I'm just not attached enough to give a fig.

Unfortuntaley, some people give such power to the concept of Valentine's day, it ends up causing them a great deal of guilt, heartache, depression and loneliness. And all l in the name of so called 'Love'.

Yep! Just another spell - one that you can allow to take power over you or not. Same as all the other spells.

When you begin to see things for what they really are - call them spells, programmes, laws, illusions, whatever - you are able to reclaim your power, and you are free to play - or walk away.

To me, true magic is the ability to extracate yourself from the spells of others, and to recognise the folly of casting your own.

I can't believe that people fall for this crap, valentines, christmas, easter, it's just another day. It's like in chrismass, they expect you to give to the homeless, but why on that day especially? And whe you ask why, they just say because it's a tradition. That's no reason for anything.
