I'm wondering what you all run as an os.

For those who have no clue(which I doubt, but I have run into it before) an operating system is a computer program that manages the hardware and software resources of a computer. Basically...


Anyways

I run at work WIndows XP Pro.
Standard of course..

At home how ever.. I'm changing OS's ever month or so.
At the moment, I'm running a cracked edition of WinXP called "Retestrak"(dutch for "Ass-Tight", or like "The kick ass version", you know. It comes with Photoshop CS2, VideoLAN, and allot of other programs that you usally don't get)

Before that, I was running PC-BSD. Very nice, except the partioning sucked.
I've run RedHat 9. That was nice, but the rpm system was screwed up, and I swear, I installed 3 times just to make sure of this, but the terminal didn't understand the "mv" or "move" command! O_O WTF!!!

I'm looking to run Fedora Core 6 on it. But I'm not sure quite yet. Atleast I ahve the manual for it.

I've run Mandrake 10 for awhile. Finally trashed it because I wanted to try other things, but it's good.

But I REALLY want to try out Ubuntu. Any body used it yet? Any thoughts?

ubuntu-based bliss. Live cd or hard drive install.

KDE is standard. (or at least it was last time i tried it.)

if I didn't have to run adobe progs I would be on Ubuntu. as it is i am on winxp. no vista for me, thanks!
