^^ The link is from The Daily Fail so I was sceptical to start with. They are turning this into a scandal, as per usual.

These are some of the outfits being described as "lingerie" :

I DON'T think little dresses and rara skirts are inappropriate for kids at all. There is nothing lingerie-like about them!?

I do have a problem with the word "lingerie" being used to describe children's underwear though. I heard about some shops selling thongs in kiddy sizes last year and it makes me feel quite sick to be honest. Lingerie (in my mind, at least) is corsets, panties, stockings, sexy ADULT items. Don't use it to describe childrens underwear FFS!! Why would that ever be ok?

Also, the little girl next to Noah Cyrus, below, is the "creator" of the range. (Yeah right) I'm far more outraged at the outfits their parents let them go out in. Full make up and heels that look like they came straight out of a fetish mag. They are only 10 years old :(

I don't even have babies yet but this makes my heart sink.

Why does it make your heart sink?

I agree it's distasteful and inappropriate, but I failed to see a section in that piece that said that it was about to become compulsory; so why get worked up?

Sexualisation of children is utterly warped.

The only people that would dress their children up in things like that are the people that shouldn't have children in the first place; the people who, regardless of some crass clothing, are bound to harm their child in some manner anyway, at some point.

I'm pretty sure all the sane parents out there won't be rushing out to buy this shit, seriously.

You're missing the point.

What kind of message does this send to children when they see it in catalogues, movies, shops etc.

It's getting them to think of sex and being sexy from an early age. What a lovely world we live in:rolleyes:

That would be a great point, except for the fact that most children that age don't spend much time browsing through clothing catalogues ... Nice try though.

It's no big 'conspiracy'. There are moron parents out there who condone this shit. No child of 8 years old has enough money or freedom to go out and clothe themselves.

Are you serious?
Parents buying this clothing range for their kids is tantamount to abuse?

I don't actually find the clothes inappropriate at all. They are pretty hideous and stupidly over-priced but nothing like the newspaper was making them out to be. Lots of little girls wear dresses and rara skirts..it's no biggie.

That was not my issue anyway, I just think it's WEIRD to refer to children's underwear as "lingerie" and the sexualisation of little ones needs to stop. Yes, that does make my heart sink.

What parent would let their daughters go out in shoes/make up like the bottom pic? Which is not part of the range btw..

I think there are elements of Problem-Reaction-Solution in this too.

Problem: The PTB want even more control of the internet and monitoring of the general populace.

Reaction: Encourage the sexualisation of children by sex education for seven-year-olds, sell clothes that encourage adults to view children as sexual objects, then wait for the resulting increase in sexual attacks on children.

Solution: monitor and regulate the internet even more tightly and introduce even more CCTV and other surveillance of the general population, all in the name of 'protecting children'.

To me, the main part of the pics I see is the fact of all the make-up on these youngsters.

Kids, especially girls, dress up.

The first set of pictures aren't very good examples. The ones further down are more like lingerie. Tesco was even selling a line of G-strings for six-year-old girls recently - that is clearly not right.

Of course they do, I use to always go through the catalogue as a kid wanting things. All kids do if there is one in a household.

Like I said in shops and movies too. But you ignored that point.

This is just blatantly disgusting. The first outfits (if you will) were just too-too's which I can deal with. The last photo's are down right degrading. The makers down right know how awful those outfits look. Its as if they want little girls to look like street walkers. What scares me is that there is women (mothers) who think their children look "cute" in this shit.

This is just a way to prepare and condition little girls to believe in order to look cute or attractive to men they need to degrade themselves; that it is a girls job to pervert themselves and exploit their bodies. Even more sad is the fact that it degrades there minds and makes them inferior. They conform to a certain way of thinking which implies they are no better or can be no better than a prostitute. Because that is what women are.

Disgusting!

Little girls wear clothes with the Playboy logo on. I've seen toddlers wearing them too. It's just so wrong. I know that children won't know what Playboy actually is but adults do. :(

Those baby clothes in the photos are fine because they aren't intended to look sexual like "lingerie" is. It's not like they are wearing little corsets with suspenders!

"Schoolgirls dress like prostitutes and prostitutes dress like schoolgirls..."

I can't remember which comedian said this, i think it was Al Murray.
Either way, its pretty accurate.

we have a winner Terrorism & child porno used 2 justify surveillance (http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=102213) Internet users are being spied on in their own home as the Government uses the threat of terrorism and the spread of child pornography to justify launching a dramatic expansion of surveillance society, according to a leading academic.

They look like Prostitots....!!!!

LOL!!

Little girls (and some little boys) have always dressed up in their mum's clothes. Is it not the overly sexual clothing of today's parents that's being reflected here?

This worries me more because to the kids, they aren't dressing sexy. They're dressing grown up. That is how they see being grown up now, along with the binge drinking etc, and that makes me a sad panda.

Ack...

forgot about that.

Yeah I saw this 'clothing line' by the Cyrus girl on dailynews as well...

pretty much totally unacceptable.

I think people are in denial about just how much parents trust Disney and look the other way...

things on the Disney channel or anything related to Disney or it's actors and actresses is all taken for granted by parents to be harmless...

Go ahead and say 'only stupid parents would blah blah blah'... it's totally irrelevant.

It's not right to say 'oh well, if parents are stupid enough to let their girls dress this way then let them.'

We should care about all children, even those who aren't our own.

If you were ever in any doubt that a paedophile cabal controls world affairs, this development should dispel these doubts. Coupled with sex education for 5 year-olds, it's an attempt to overcome the 'last taboo.'

Most girls from a young age upwards used to wear Bikinis all the time if it was a hot summer in the UK. Some bikini's are the same as a G string.

Go to other countries and I don't think there used to be any age limits to going topless on beaches
