I'm sure we could all use a break from all the religious propaganda spammed all over this forum. I found a great positive article to balance out all the negative crapped being spewed at us. Enjoy. :)

You are One With the Universal Mind
By Tania Kotsos

There is a single, intelligent Consciousness that pervades the entire Universe - the Universal Mind. It is all knowing, all powerful, all creative and always present. As it is present everywhere at the same time, it follows that it must also be present in you - that it is you. Your mind is part of the one Universal Mind. This is not simply a philosophical ideal passed down to us through the ages. It is an exact scientific truth. Know it, believe it, apply it and you will see your life transform in miraculous ways.

Albert Einstein told us that "everything is energy"; that "a human being is a part of the whole called by us [the] Universe". His words echoed the most ancient of spiritual and philosophical teachings and still underpin today's cutting-edge scientific discoveries. The Universal Mind goes by many names. In the scientific world we know of the Unified Field, in spiritual philosophy we refer to The All or Universal Consciousness and in religion we call upon God who Himself goes by many names - Jehovah, Allah and Brahman to mention but a few. The name is relevant only in so far as it resonates with you.

Any which way you cut it, you come to this one unavoidable conclusion: there is but One Consciousness of which your consciousness must be a part and "a part", as Charles Haanel said, "must be the same in kind and quality as the whole, the only difference being one of degree".

The nature of the Universal Mind is Omniscience (all knowing), Omnipotence (all powerful), Omnificence (all creative) and Omnipresence (always present). Know that this too is your nature. You have access to all knowledge, known and unknown; you have access to an infinite power for which nothing is impossible; you have access to the limitless creativity of the One Creator. All these attributes are present within you at all times in their potential form.

It is up to you to know and act upon your own nature. The inscription on the Ancient Greek Temple of Apollo at Delphi left no room for misunderstanding: "Know thyself and thou shalt know all the mysteries of the gods and the universe". It is through the power of your subconscious mind that you can learn to align yourself with the Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnificence of the Universal Mind at all times.

Each and every one of us is a manifestation of this single Universal Consciousness. There is profound truth in the ancient teaching that we are all One. We are all connected - not only to each other but to all of Nature and to everything in the Universe. This is the Law of One. What you do to others, you do to yourself. The way you treat Nature, you in fact treat yourself. The separateness you "see" is an illusion of the ego. The true nature of reality is non-dualistic, meaning that while things may appear distinct, they are not separate.

You are able to create your ideal reality because you are already connected to everything you desire. Nothing and no one is separate from you. You can experience happiness, true love, perfect health, abundance, wealth and anything else you desire. All you have to do is bring yourself into vibrational harmony with the nature of your desires through the creative power of your thoughts. To become the master of your destiny, you must master your thoughts.

In a nutshell, there is a single Consciousness, the Universal Mind, which pervades the entire Universe. It is all knowing, all powerful, all creative and always present everywhere at the same time. Your consciousness is part of it - it is It. All is One. You are connected to everything and every one. You are already connected to your desires. To the degree you truly comprehend and internalise this Truth, you will be able to become the master of your mind and the director of your life.

Sorry but don't you have any other point of interest besides Lucifer?

Sit still until Lucifer stops talking.
Breathe deeply.
Try listening to your heart where Lucifer has no bind on (I hope for your sake).

Read John 10:29-30
Read the post again.

If something still rises exchange some words to a jargon to your liking (example Universal Mind = Jesus. Since it is your belief as a christian it wouldn't be wrong to do that and an affirmation of your faith).

Still offended, apply method second time with asking Jesus for guidance. After that shut up Lucifer. Listen to your heart again. Read John 10:29-30 again. Read the post again.

Peace and Love. Yeheshua-Iso-Isa-Jesus be with you.

It's funny how the articles quickly mentions

"This is not simply a philosophical ideal passed down to us through the ages. It is an exact scientific truth."

OK BOSS !

Colossians {2:8} Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

in spiritual philosophy we refer to The All or Universal Consciousness and in religion we call upon God who Himself goes by many names - Jehovah, Allah and Brahman to mention but a few. The name is relevant only in so far as it resonates with you.

SATAN IS THE MASTER OF DECEIT. HE REALLY IS.

It's interesting to note how New Age teachings (ie: OP's article),

Sin and evil do not exist. Peace and love are the ultimate realities.

Yes folks, it's all about loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, let's loveeeeeeee, such a loving worlddddddddddd, it's greattttttttttt, ahhhhhhhh I'm in zen mode right nowwwwwwwwwww . . . feels like there's no gravity . . .

Let's face reality, ok.

Calling it as it is.

(Not so) New Age teachings came from the Theosopical society, from Blavatsky's and Bailey's teachings.

One of Blavatsky's books was "The Secret Doctrine" ( Helena Blavatsky - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - you can find her books @ www.scribd.com ) where we read,

"Lucifer represents.. Life.. Thought.. Progress.. Civilization.. Liberty.. Independence.. Lucifer is the Logos.. the Serpent, the Savior." - pages 171, 225, 255 (Volume II)

"It is Satan who is the God of our planet and the only God." - pages 215, 216, 220, 245, 255, 533, (VI)

"The Celestial Virgin which thus becomes the Mother of Gods and Devils at one and the same time; for she is the ever-loving beneficent Deity...but in antiquity and reality Lucifer or Luciferius is the name. Lucifer is divine and terrestrial Light, 'the Holy Ghost' and 'Satan' at one and the same time." - page 539

Can't say I really disagree with those quotes.

When it comes to something that's labeled as new age, I look through the information and take what resonates with me and leave the rest behind. I do the same with the bible. In all works there is some truth mixed in with disinfo and lies.

-----------------

Actually, most religions have the goal of pointing towards the 'Christly' direction and away from the "Satanic" direction but they are named differently within different systems of symbolism and thought. But when I say this I mean these things as symbolic and not as literal. These are symbolic of spiritual levels of understandings and can be found under different names and character in different religions.

Within this subject of discussion I think there are important particulars to be aware of. I feel that even the labeling of Satan as the same as the serpent in the Garden of Eden may not have any real basis and is more of a cultural assumption formed over the centuries. The same goes for the assumption that the character the "morning star" mentioned in the Bible is referring to Satan. From this, the interchangeability of the word Lucifer and Satan has become common.

However, my ideas conflict with core ideas of Christianity in that I do not believe Christ was literally *The* "one and only Son of "God" but that he was essentially a sage/mystic/yogi/buddha who had the powerful experience of bypassing the normal human feeling of being stuck within the confines of experience that duality keeps most of us within. Along with this, the experience is one of 100% totally feeling connected with all of Reality (and you can hear many stories about this in many religions often labeled as the mystical state, cosmic consciousness, or in India as the "union with the Brahman")

In Hinduism, the Brahman could be the equivalent idea as Christians give the word "God" too (these are just word labels). Of course various people will discuss these things differently with some labeling these in human-like ways (which to my mind are actually applying images and idols in the mind and trying to visualize and rationally explain this concept... which is not only impossible but a huge bias).

This from wikipedia
In the Hindu religion, Brahman is the unchanging, infinite, immanent, and transcendent reality which is the Divine Ground of all matter, energy, time, space, being, and everything beyond in this Universe.[1] The nature of Brahman is described as transpersonal, personal and impersonal by different philosophical schools.

In both religions, many people will commonly use the words He, Him, His but I feel this is a mistake. I even questioned this on a certain Hindu's google video and he gave an explanation but I feel if this concept is both beyond limitations of duality and all inclusive of all duality , the use of male words is biased.

What is the difference between these sayings

1... Union with the Brahman

2... "I and the Father are One"

In my opinion there is no essential different.

And it is my opinion that the historical person labeled Christ was actually trying to tell people of this type of experience but a religion formed around him over the next centuries which altered this by attaching a very commonly used template of "son of God" deity onto this movement and thus controlling the movement and steering it very much away from the original ideas of Christ.

------------------
------------------

Another aspect to consider is the similar role of Krishna in relation to a pathway to experience the union with "Brahman" and Christ as a pathway towards a union experence to the Absolute "God" in that religion's system (although I get the impression that within the history of the Roman Catholic Church that the idea of you too attaining direct union with this Absolute Reality is seen as a heresy ... many mystics who claimed this were burnt at the stake for the blasphemy of claiming to be like Christ. This same thing has happened to Sufis within the Islamic territories who sometimes were punished and killed for such a claim).

As a form of Bhakti yoga ("yoga" means union or yoke - Matthew 11:30 "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." - interesting sentence if you see Christ as a pathway of Bhakti yoga!), the purposeful mental devotion to Krishna can allow the ultimate union with the Brahman and I feel the intense mental devotion to Christ (I do not mean arguing intellectually about the historicity of that human or just ... that is merely being caught within the argumentative level of duality and usually just creates annoyance and anger).

And so, in both methods, it is the focussed devotion to the particular spiritual concept that is important and the name or label which that is clothed in is secondary.

----------
----------

As far as the original write up about "You are One With the Universal Mind" , I think there are some fine points within that write-up that can be argued about. I think the implications even of someone having that direct experience (so not just intellectual thinking of this ... but really experiencing it) is that they can misunderstand it and become convinced that they personally control the Universe. The misunderstanding of this can be dangerous and if the person also has a strong personal ego still, it could be a bad combination for themselves.

You can hear stories within Christian lands where someone will have this experience and then be totally convinced they are actually Jesus Christ ... because that is what they figure their experiences matches from what they have learned.

If they had been living in India within that religious background, it would have been understood as the 'union with the Brahman' and many people have it.

1... Union with the Brahman

2... "I and the Father are One"

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David's throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.

I never implied that.

What about the many people within the history of Christianity who had the mystical experience of connection to what they label as "God" ... who were then labeled as heretics for saying such a thing and burnt at the stake?

It seems that Christianity has a built in dogma against such a concept.

Some would argue even Jesus was (ironically) killed for the same blasphemy

Yes, it does.

You know it's really stupid to go to a culture that venerates a dictatorial Almighty Lord God, and tell that you're his son.

In Christ's case, though, they we're just ignorant of their own scripture... Much perhaps because they liked their status in the world more than God.

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
