they were in plain clothes too. they are lucky they didnt try that on me- they would have been shot several times.

Could (seems apparent to me but really, I don't know the details so my opinion is limited) be another case of police officers who really shouldn't be police officers.
I just want to say that I feel the concept of plain-clothes officers to be something to be considered carefully. In fact , I would suggest the concept of plain-clothes officers should be limited to special cases of just getting certain information in locations where uniformed officers would obviously 'blow their cover'. Plain-clothes officers chasing some guy on the street is just dangerous and asking for misunderstandings. They should not be involved with typical law enforcement because people can easily feel they are being chased by criminals wanting to rob and kill them.
It's easy to understand why someone would run from three strangers approaching them.
