That was my first hardcore non-fiction conspiracy book. It's fascinating. Some of it is probably true and some is not. I think Cooper later decided that he had been fed a lot of disinfo that he believed at the time of writing.

Listening to his show is intolerable. How pompous can you get? I listened to his analysis of 2001: A Space Oddysey and had to turn it off. I suppose back in the day listening to it on pirate radio might have been fun, though.

He predicted an attack, even naming osama bin laden as the scapegoat, a few months prior to 911... He was shortly thereafter disposed of because of his knowledge and ability to connect the dots on the NWO..

Highly recommend the book!

Despite Bill's overall professionalism, Behold A pale....WAS a bit pale.
Putting "top secret" on every page was sensationalist. Bill was very passionate about informing the public. I agree with Supertzar that he could be pompous on radio, but he could also sound like a gentle teddy bear...when he wanted to.

I DO KNOW THIS!!! The Eager County (where Bill lived in Arizona) Police would NOT have taken him out. NO...It was the nearby Apache County Sherrif's Office that was summoned to do the dirty deed. The killer of William Cooper was Brian Hounshell (hound of hell?) 17 Cops show up at midnight to allegedly serve an arrest warrant!?!?! WTF!?!?!?
Bill had a way of mobilizing his audience...he could light a fire under his listeners...similar to David Icke. The powers that be KNEW that he would have been a VERY effective voice in the 9/11 truth movement, so they used the cover of 9/11 to murder him....on November 6/01.
My birthday is November 6.

But when he zoomed in on the skin you could actually see the cracks and hairs on its skin, a bronze statue would not have these.

The first time I heard of it was in an Ethiopian restaurant in Baltimore city. I thought it sounded very interesting, though the person telling me about it actually didn't give me the correct details, I came to learn.

Anyway, years later I was introduced to the 9/11 scene and really got into conspiracy research and bought "Behold a Pale Horse." It was the first book on the subject I'd ever read and it really freaked me out.

It's one of the first books I suggest to people, along with "Rule By Secrecy" if they're really serious and "The Gods of Eden" since even if you ignore the alien parts it's actually really detailed on the other aspects as well.

Cooper remains probably my favorite researcher. I agree with less of what he said than some other authors, but something about him I liked. The downside of the book, though, is how much of the material is readily available and that you've probably already read. If you're new to it though, it's a good way to get those materials in a hard copy all in one book. For reference alone it's worth buying.

not from the book, but in my opinion as well as what i have read elsewhere that this is because of all of the natural resources in africa. i know it is harsh of me, but i am opposed to all of the money for aids drugs given in africa. yes it helps out those africans with aids, but it also spreads the problem. why not spend the money on a cure if they are so serious about stopping aids.

as for the book, i skimmed through parts as it was a bit boring. also a lot of the info i knew already. the stuff on the federal reserve is very important. i always say that is the number one system keeping us down. i also agree that the threat of aliens is going to put us under a one world govt. info has been leaked and you even see stuff about it on the history channel.

Excellent book!I read this book shortly after it was published.

It really changed my perception of alot of things,I think two of the most important books I read that got me to think outside of the box was this one and Timothy Good's Above Top Secret.

Say what you will about William Cooper,but this guy gave his life for what he believed in.

NO! Taxes had NOTHING to do with it. He had brandished a side arm to a stranger on his property. This individual complained to the local sherrif...which began the bogus charges of William Cooper being "dangerous"....as I said before, this was handed over to the Apache County Sheriff's office who then proceeded to murder him. There's was probably a degree or two earned for being the killer. They feared Bill mobilizing his audience post 9/11 as he would have been MUCH MORE effective than Alex Jones and others.

He "revealed" that he was a carrying a side arm, a gun, to this stranger...just to let him know. All that was perfectly legal. And this occurred in the summer of 2001. They were doing SOMETHING to create mis-trust regarding Bill. Apparently this individual complained and complained. It was all part of a "stage show" to trump up false accusations against Bill.

the video that thetonic posted is definitely worth watching. i think bill cooper was the real deal.

David Icke is allowed to live because he is soooooo in the public eye, in Britain at least. His whole reptilian thing makes him too far out there for the average Joe, so people won't take him as seriously. Also I think in a way David Icke owes his life to Wogan. Wogan made him (extremely unfairly) look like a madman on national television. This makes him much less of a threat.

I am kind of shocked that Bill Cooper's death is so unknown. I honestly didn't know who he was until relatively recently (and i am american) and it was this thread that got me to really listen to what he had to say. I think I saw a video of his regarding the Kennedy shooting on youtube, but that was random. Most of the info in his book I already knew, probably because he influenced later writers and conspiracy theorists.
