After hearing the advert on TalkSport on the Jon Gaunt show i thought i would check it out. For those who dont know gotomypc.com (http://www.gotomypc.com) is a system where you download their software, create a username and password, then you can access your PC from any web browser, including all files, network information, everything. Now we know they have the technology to acces our PC, but people are basically giving them our consent to all our information on our computer.

gotomypc is owned by a company called Citrix systems (http://www.citrixonline.com). I do not know who the owner of this company is, if anyone has anymore info that would be great. On their FAQ section this was one question and answer.

3. With whom does Citrix Online share the information?
We will never voluntarily share personally identifiable information about any user with any third party without the user's express consent or unless compelled by applicable state and federal laws.

Shocking

(i hope the link info worked it's the first time i have tried it)

I think the highlighted part pretty much sums it up. There are so many obscure laws that would cover this.

I certainly wouldn't trust them
