Hi everyone, The Hector and Maui Dolphins will become extinct within a generation (here in New Zealand), unless something is done. I ask you to please sign the petition (below) to hopefully make a difference. It will be sent to our Prime Minister Helen Clarke. These little dolphins live only around New Zealand and are very special, thank-you !

Done, lets hope that it stirs some action in the beehive. In my experience the fishing of N.Z's coastal waters, particularly by illegal longliners & nets posses a huge problem.

Thank-you Garth and Limelady!!
Yes the situation is very serious. We have very serious fishermen
here, who couldn't give a hoot about anything except making lots of dough
from selling their catch.
There was an incident on the Heathcote River a week ago, whereby a
Whitebaiter stabbed a Paradise Duck to death with a kitchen knife because she was in HIS way. In actual fact he was the intruder, as she had her nest right by where he was and was concerned for her eggs. The bird rescue people came and got her, as the male was frantic and would have stayed with her body till Hell froze over. (They mate for life). So there are some Bastards out there all right.

Thank-you Spiraltrance!! Nah they probably won't send you stuff...if they do just block them or cancel.
It would be really great to have the forum people from all around the world to sign this...it would mean a lot to us here in New Zealand. Thanks!

Hi Lemonique
Have signed it too, for such a worthy cause. Let's hope it does some good as it would be tragic to lose these precious little dolphins.

Well I'm sorry but I didn't sign it. Obviously I am alarmed at something going into extinction but please do your research into who owns and controls the WWF!!

At this point 'who own and controls' the WWF is not as important as saving these dolphins. The WWF still has public accountability to act in accordance with their charitable trust status.
IMO, this is not the time to stand on principle!
Please help save these dolphins before they become extinct!

I wasn't standing on principle. What I really meant is it doesn't care less how many people sign the petition, an outcome will be decided ultimately by who controls and runs the WWF, which is our very own green skin prince Philip..
I absolutely love animals, possibly more than humans, especially dogs, so I'm not being cold and just saying I don't give a fuck, but petitions can be easily dismissed.
