The Pope forgave his would-be
assassin, Mehmet Ali Agca



On a fateful day in May 1981 at 1720 (1620 GMT), Ali Agca, a Turkish gunman, took aim and fired two pistol shots at the white-robed Pope as he was being driven around Saint Peter's Square in his Pope-mobile, greeting crowds of pilgrims.

The Pope fell back into the arms of his devoted private secretary, seriously injured. He had a stomach wound and was bleeding profusely.

The Pope was rushed to hospital. The gunman was promptly arrested by Vatican gendarmes and handed over to Italian police.

News of the shooting caused a sensation as it sped around the world that evening. "Who would want to kill the Pope?", we kept asking ourselves.

The final truth about the shooting of the Pope remains as elusive as ever

The rapid identification of the Pope's would-be assassin was an even greater surprise. It turned out that Ali Agca, a member of a Turkish group of right-wing militants calling themselves The Grey Wolves had written an open letter to an Istanbul newspaper, threatening to kill the Pope when he visited Turkey in 1979.

I remember watching Ali Agca closely at his trial in Rome for attempted murder. He stood alone inside a cage in a heavily-fortified courtroom. He looked as if he was rather enjoying all the publicity. The guilty verdict and the life sentence were a foregone conclusion.

But Ali Agca turned out to be a model prisoner.

He wrote to the Pope, begging for forgiveness, and to his - and everyone else's surprise - the Pope went along two years later to the high-security jail where Agca was serving his sentence and spent some minutes alone with the man who had tried to kill him.

Years later, Pope John Paul recounted that during his private conversation with Agca, the gunman told him he couldn't understand how he had failed in his mission.

"I did everything according to plan, down to the smallest details," Agca told the Pope. But the Pope himself was confident he knew why Agca's designated victim had escaped death - divine intervention.

The Pope's actual words are revealing.

"Probably Agca understood that above the power to shoot and kill, there is a higher power," the Pope wrote reflectively, many years afterwards.

He presented the bullet that the surgeons had removed from his stomach to the shrine of the Virgin Mary at Fatima in Portugal. Encrusted in gold, the bullet now adorns a bejewelled crown placed on her statue.

The Pope also wrote that he knew his would-be assassin was a professional killer. The attempt was not his initiative: "Someone else planned and commissioned it," the Pope said, enigmatically.

Speculation about which country this might have been has remained just that - speculation. The former communist regimes of Eastern Europe have all fallen and many of the archives of their secret services have been open to researchers. But the final truth about the shooting of the Pope remains as elusive as ever.

A trial lasting 22 months was held in Rome during the 1980s about the alleged Bulgarian connection - involvement by the satellite state of the former Soviet Union. The accused were all acquitted for lack of proof.

The Pope forgave his would-be
assassin, Mehmet Ali Agca



On a fateful day in May 1981 at 1720 (1620 GMT), Ali Agca, a Turkish gunman, took aim and fired two pistol shots at the white-robed Pope as he was being driven around Saint Peter's Square in his Pope-mobile, greeting crowds of pilgrims.

The Pope fell back into the arms of his devoted private secretary, seriously injured. He had a stomach wound and was bleeding profusely.

The Pope was rushed to hospital. The gunman was promptly arrested by Vatican gendarmes and handed over to Italian police.

News of the shooting caused a sensation as it sped around the world that evening. "Who would want to kill the Pope?", we kept asking ourselves.

The final truth about the shooting of the Pope remains as elusive as ever

The rapid identification of the Pope's would-be assassin was an even greater surprise. It turned out that Ali Agca, a member of a Turkish group of right-wing militants calling themselves The Grey Wolves had written an open letter to an Istanbul newspaper, threatening to kill the Pope when he visited Turkey in 1979.

I remember watching Ali Agca closely at his trial in Rome for attempted murder. He stood alone inside a cage in a heavily-fortified courtroom. He looked as if he was rather enjoying all the publicity. The guilty verdict and the life sentence were a foregone conclusion.

But Ali Agca turned out to be a model prisoner.

He wrote to the Pope, begging for forgiveness, and to his - and everyone else's surprise - the Pope went along two years later to the high-security jail where Agca was serving his sentence and spent some minutes alone with the man who had tried to kill him.


Agca did not act alone, the Pope later said

Years later, Pope John Paul recounted that during his private conversation with Agca, the gunman told him he couldn't understand how he had failed in his mission.

"I did everything according to plan, down to the smallest details," Agca told the Pope. But the Pope himself was confident he knew why Agca's designated victim had escaped death - divine intervention.

The Pope's actual words are revealing.

"Probably Agca understood that above the power to shoot and kill, there is a higher power," the Pope wrote reflectively, many years afterwards.

Golden bullet

He presented the bullet that the surgeons had removed from his stomach to the shrine of the Virgin Mary at Fatima in Portugal. Encrusted in gold, the bullet now adorns a bejewelled crown placed on her statue.

The Pope also wrote that he knew his would-be assassin was a professional killer. The attempt was not his initiative: "Someone else planned and commissioned it," the Pope said, enigmatically.

Speculation about which country this might have been has remained just that - speculation. The former communist regimes of Eastern Europe have all fallen and many of the archives of their secret services have been open to researchers. But the final truth about the shooting of the Pope remains as elusive as ever.

A trial lasting 22 months was held in Rome during the 1980s about the alleged Bulgarian connection - involvement by the satellite state of the former Soviet Union. The accused were all acquitted for lack of proof.

Russian denials

The Russians have always maintained that the KGB wasn't responsible, even indirectly, although they would have had every reason to fear the international political fallout after the election of a Polish pope.

A Polish priest who was secretly spying inside the Vatican on behalf of Warsaw's communist government has only recently been unmasked.

One of the Italian judges who tried Agca says he fears for the safety of the Turk after his release from prison. Ali Agca now has grey hair and he is 48 years old. He knows too many secrets, the judge said.

The latest bizarre twist in this long-lasting mystery story is that Agca himself says he wants to return to Rome as soon as possible to meet John Paul's successor, Pope Benedict.

As the second millennium gives way to the third, Pope John Paul II has decided to publish the text of the third part of the “secret of Fatima”.

Throughout history there have been supernatural apparitions and signs which go to the heart of human events and which, to the surprise of believers and non-believers alike, play their part in the unfolding of history. These manifestations can never contradict the content of faith, and must therefore have their focus in the core of Christ's proclamation: the Father's love which leads men and women to conversion and bestows the grace required to abandon oneself to him with filial devotion. This too is the message of Fatima which, with its urgent call to conversion and penance, draws us to the heart of the Gospel.

Fatima is undoubtedly the most prophetic of modern apparitions. The first and second parts of the “secret”—which are here published in sequence so as to complete the documentation—refer especially to the frightening vision of hell, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Second World War, and finally the prediction of the immense damage that Russia would do to humanity by abandoning the Christian faith and embracing Communist totalitarianism.

In 1917 no one could have imagined all this: the three pastorinhos of Fatima see, listen and remember, and Lucia, the surviving witness, commits it all to paper when ordered to do so by the Bishop of Leiria and with Our Lady's permission.

For the account of the first two parts of the “secret”, which have already been published and are therefore known, we have chosen the text written by Sister Lucia in the Third Memoir of 31 August 1941; some annotations were added in the Fourth Memoir of 8 December 1941.

The third part of the “secret” was written “by order of His Excellency the Bishop of Leiria and the Most Holy Mother ...” on 3 January 1944.

There is only one manuscript, which is here reproduced photostatically. The sealed envelope was initially in the custody of the Bishop of Leiria. To ensure better protection for the “secret” the envelope was placed in the Secret Archives of the Holy Office on 4 April 1957. The Bishop of Leiria informed Sister Lucia of this.

According to the records of the Archives, the Commissary of the Holy Office, Father Pierre Paul Philippe, OP, with the agreement of Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani, brought the envelopecontaining the third part of the “secret of Fatima” to Pope John XXIII on 17 August 1959. “After some hesitation”, His Holiness said: “We shall wait. I shall pray. I shall let you know what I decide”.(1)

In fact Pope John XXIII decided to return the sealed envelope to the Holy Office and not to reveal the third part of the “secret”.

Paul VI read the contents with the Substitute, Archbishop Angelo Dell'Acqua, on 27 March 1965, and returned the envelope to the Archives of the Holy Office, deciding not to publish the text.

John Paul II, for his part, asked for the envelope containing the third part of the “secret” following the assassination attempt on 13 May 1981. On 18 July 1981 Cardinal Franjo Šeper, Prefect of the Congregation, gave two envelopes to Archbishop Eduardo Martínez Somalo, Substitute of the Secretariat of State: one white envelope, containing Sister Lucia's original text in Portuguese; the other orange, with the Italian translation of the “secret”. On the following 11 August, Archbishop Martínez returned the two envelopes to the Archives of the Holy Office.(2)

As is well known, Pope John Paul II immediately thought of consecrating the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and he himself composed a prayer for what he called an “Act of Entrustment”, which was to be celebrated in the Basilica of Saint Mary Major on 7 June 1981, the Solemnity of Pentecost, the day chosen to commemorate the 1600th anniversary of the First Council of Constantinople and the 1550th anniversary of the Council of Ephesus. Since the Pope was unable to be present, his recorded Address was broadcast. The following is the part which refers specifically to the Act of Entrustment:

“Mother of all individuals and peoples, you know all their sufferings and hopes. In your motherly heart you feel all the struggles between good and evil, between light and darkness, that convulse the world: accept the plea which we make in the Holy Spirit directly to your heart, and embrace with the love of the Mother and Handmaid of the Lord those who most await this embrace, and also those whose act of entrustment you too await in a particular way. Take under your motherly protection the whole human family, which with affectionate love we entrust to you, O Mother. May there dawn for everyone the time of peace and freedom, the time of truth, of justice and of hope”.(3)

In order to respond more fully to the requests of “Our Lady”, the Holy Father desired to make more explicit during the Holy Year of the Redemption the Act of Entrustment of 7 May 1981, which had been repeated in Fatima on 13 May 1982. On 25 March 1984 in Saint Peter's Square, while recalling the fiat uttered by Mary at the Annunciation, the Holy Father, in spiritual union with the Bishops of the world, who had been “convoked” beforehand, entrusted all men and women and all peoples to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in terms which recalled the heartfelt words spoken in 1981:

“O Mother of all men and women, and of all peoples, you who know all their sufferings and their hopes, you who have a mother's awareness of all the struggles between good and evil, between light and darkness, which afflict the modern world, accept the cry which we, moved by the Holy Spirit, address directly to your Heart. Embrace with the love of the Mother and Handmaid of the Lord, this human world of ours, which we entrust and consecrate to you, for we are full of concern for the earthly and eternal destiny of individuals and peoples.

In a special way we entrust and consecrate to you those individuals and nations which particularly need to be thus entrusted and consecrated.

‘We have recourse to your protection, holy Mother of God!' Despise not our petitions in our necessities”.

The Pope then continued more forcefully and with more specific references, as though commenting on the Message of Fatima in its sorrowful fulfilment:

“Behold, as we stand before you, Mother of Christ, before your Immaculate Heart, we desire, together with the whole Church, to unite ourselves with the consecration which, for love of us, your Son made of himself to the Father: ‘For their sake', he said, ‘I consecrate myself that they also may be consecrated in the truth' (Jn 17:19). We wish to unite ourselves with our Redeemer in this his consecration for the world and for the human race, which, in his divine Heart, has the power to obtain pardon and to secure reparation.

The power of this consecrationlasts for all time and embraces all individuals, peoples and nations. It overcomes every evil that the spirit of darkness is able to awaken, and has in fact awakened in our times, in the heart of man and in his history.

How deeply we feel the need for the consecration of humanity and the world—our modern world—in union with Christ himself! For the redeeming work of Christ must be shared in by the world through the Church.

The present Year of the Redemption shows this: the special Jubilee of the whole Church.

Above all creatures, may you be blessed, you, the Handmaid of the Lord, who in the fullest way obeyed the divine call!

Hail to you, who are wholly united to the redeeming consecration of your Son!

Mother of the Church! Enlighten the People of God along the paths of faith, hope, and love! Enlighten especially the peoples whose consecration and entrustment by us you are awaiting. Help us to live in the truth of the consecration of Christ for the entire human family of the modern world.

In entrusting to you, O Mother, the world, all individuals and peoples, we also entrust to you this very consecration of the world, placing it in your motherly Heart.

Immaculate Heart! Help us to conquer the menace of evil, which so easily takes root in the hearts of the people of today, and whose immeasurable effects already weigh down upon our modern world and seem to block the paths towards the future!

From famine and war, deliver us.

From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction, from every kind of war, deliver us.

From sins against the life of man from its very beginning, deliver us.

From hatred and from the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God, deliver us.

From every kind of injustice in the life of society, both national and international, deliver us.

From readiness to trample on the commandments of God, deliver us.

From attempts to stifle in human hearts the very truth of God, deliver us.

From the loss of awareness of good and evil, deliver us.

From sins against the Holy Spirit, deliver us, deliver us.

Accept, O Mother of Christ, this cry laden with the sufferings of all individual human beings, laden with the sufferings of whole societies.

Help us with the power of the Holy Spirit to conquer all sin: individual sin and the ‘sin of the world', sin in all its manifestations.

What is the secret? It seems to me that I can reveal it, since I already have permission from Heaven to do so. God's representatives on earth have authorized me to do this several times and in various letters, one of which, I believe, is in your keeping. This letter is from Father José Bernardo Gonçalves, and in it he advises me to write to the Holy Father, suggesting, among other things, that I should reveal the secret. I did say something about it. But in order not to make my letter too long, since I was told to keep it short, I confined myself to the essentials, leaving it to God to provide another more favourable opportunity.

In my second account I have already described in detail the doubt which tormented me from 13 June until 13 July, and how it disappeared completely during the Apparition on that day.

Well, the secret is made up of three distinct parts, two of which I am now going to reveal.

The first part is the vision of hell.

Our Lady showed us a great sea of fire which seemed to be under the earth. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or equilibrium, and amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repulsive likeness to frightful and unknown animals, all black and transparent. This vision lasted but an instant. How can we ever be grateful enough to our kind heavenly Mother, who had already prepared us by promising, in the first Apparition, to take us to heaven. Otherwise, I think we would have died of fear and terror.

We then looked up at Our Lady, who said to us so kindly and so sadly:

“You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end: but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the Pontificate of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that he is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world”.(7)

I write in obedience to you, my God, who command me to do so through his Excellency the Bishop of Leiria and through your Most Holy Mother and mine.

After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendour that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!'. And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.

The description is this nonmanifested or mysterious (occult) aspect of Tao as the womb of the universal embryo, the womb which generates Heaven and Earth, which is the source of life. Briefly speaking, it is nothing but the Mysterious Mother of the world:

This get’s very important because it is speaking of the very things we began this meeting with. The inner being which is able to draw to itself the other higher being.

THE MOTHER CONCEPT

The mother concept of the Tao the leading idea of about two aspects of Tao: about Tao as "mysterious womb" and Tao as mother-nurse of all beings.

The Tao speaks of that hidden in the woman.

The embryo hidden in the womb, like the prototypes of things that are hidden in the "womb" of Tao.

This opinion may be supported by the fact that the images of the womb and embryo are often used by Taoists to describe the "Tao-world" relation. So Tao can be metaphorically defined as the mother of the world, the source of life and being, and the universal female .

THE TAO AND MEDITATION

The Tao carrying the same concepts as Kabbala also has us going inward to meditation , but the late Evgueni A. Tortchinov Department of Philosophy St. Petersburg State University, Russia describes it a bit differently as he interprets Tao for us..

Taoism proclaims that a human being is nothing more than an inseparable psychosomatic unity. So people can obtain immortality only when their body-microcosm becomes a self-sufficient whole--a self-containing reservoir of the vital energy from one side, and when it realizes its potential, isomorphism(RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TWO ENTITIES) with the world-body of the cosmos from another side.

Lao Tzu makes a beautiful description of meditation here.



O! I am the only who is quiet and silent, like a baby who is not yet a child

With that we see the mother relationship. Entering back into the womb of the cosmic mother.

What does he inform us about this baby?

Thus, the connection between birth in the course of the cosmic evolution world and Tao looks quite like the connection between a mother nourishing her child, and the baby itself.

But in the case of humans, there appears a self concept, an independent, self-containing "I," as an unchanging subject of actions.

This kind of egoistic self-consciousness harms the original unity, and humans begin to counteract Tao.

The predominant attitude of human actions is no longer the law and measure of the cosmic rhythm of Tao, but egocentric preferences, which change spontaneous natural life into purposeful activities based only on bare subjectivity.

Taoism sees egocentricity as the cause of all human sufferings, pains, frustrations-from mortality to social collisions.

THE CONFLICT

And there we see what is consistent in all religious philosophies. The conflict between the higher and the lower. But here there is a solution that is not unlike the solution of Kabbala.

It is put in the terms of the return to the mother.

The return to the womb.

The place of meditation.

Let me show you how Professor Torchinov described this.

Professor Tortchinov

The only means, not only to become liberated from sufferings but to obtain the highest happiness, is to restore original unity with Tao, to broaden consciousness and to put an end to the egocentric attitude, that is, to return to the state of the nonborn child who does not know a distinct difference between his or her own body and the maternal body, who breathes the maternal breath and eats maternal food.

MY COMMENT

In meditation, you breath the maternal breath and you eat the maternal food. The manna from heaven if you will.

Professor Tortchinov Continues

This coming back to the womb of the Mother-Tao is connected with the broadening of the personality to the cosmic scale, when "eternal integrity never deserts you.

You will return to the state of infancy.

This state of the nonborn child is the state of immortality, peace, and unity with all beings and with one's own nature:

The return to the root is called "stillness," stillness is called returning to the "fate-vitality," the return to the fate-vitality is called "constancy." One who knows constancy is called "enlightened"

MY COMMENT

I love the emphasis on the word stillness and it takes me to the Biblical story with Moses when Moses was panicked as to how he was going to fight the battle before him.



Exodus 14:14. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace

All of this is speaking of meditation. The burning bush we see portrayed here is actually the pineal gland of the brain when when it is lit by the rising electro energy up the spine gives us enlightenment.

Professor Torchinov concludes by saying:

Many of the basic ideas and images of Taoism have a profound humanistic sense, deeply rooted in the very structure of our psychical experience.

Do we not see the image of the Mysterious Female-Mother of all under heaven in Sophia or Eunoia of the Gnostics, in Shekhina of the Kabbalah, or in Sophia, the soul of the world, the image of the coming all-unity of the Russian philosopher and mystic Vladimir Solovyev?

I dont know where u found the source stating that Hera became a virgin once a year and that the child she is nursing is Hefaistos, but as far as I know Hera - sister and wife of Zeus - hated Hefaistos since birth coz she was horrified at his sight, he was ugly. Angry, she took him of his leg and threw it away. In time he became the god of fire, metal workers and weapon making. Also nothing is mentioned about him creating ppl out of clay.

We commonly think of places like Los Angeles and New York City as fabulously cosmopolitan, offering us a microcosm of nearly everything on the planet-different cultures, foods, lifestyles, languages. Yet would it surprise you to consider that in the galaxy our Earth is similarly seen as cosmopolitan?

After all, where did we all come from? As far as I can tell, none of us came from here. We are all foreigners, emigrants-aliens and extraterrestrials. We all came from there. According to my friends in high places, there is a greater diversity of souls and soul origins on this planet than nearly anywhere else in the known multi-universe. Here's the math: that's more than 18 billion galaxies. There are two aspects to this: there is a greater diversity of souls at different stages of development and a greater diversity of their point of origin.

Mind you, we are not recent arrivals. This all happened long ago, many millions of years before now. The business of point of origin is what you may dredge up out of your own unconsciousness during regression or insight. What kind of places? The Pleaides is a popular point of origin. This is a star cluster of seven more or less visible stars, and another 300 estimated in the throat of the constellation Taurus. Of course nobody comes from a star or sun, but I'm told the Pleiadian stars have a fair number of inhabited planets in their supervision.

The list of points of origins for human souls on Earth is extensive, but I think you get the idea. Maybe a memory of a strange and different place may surface in your thoughts one day, a planet you once lived on perhaps? My angelic informants also note that before "we" started settling on Earth from elsewhere amidst the vast congeries of other stars and planets, humanity-or the idea for it or our deep ancestors or maybe yourself 100,000 lives ago-came from another galaxy altogether-Andromeda.

This one should not seem too outlandish: the recent film Mission to Mars suggests humans were seeded by a dying civilization from Mars which originally came from another galaxy. We shouldn't build our metaphysical models from mass culture or science fiction imaginings, but sometimes it helps.

But this is only one side of it. There are also aliens among us, all over.
As a culture, we're generally getting accustomed to the idea that we have an energy field or aura around the body filled with lights, colors, and chakras. Our awareness of this most often is akin to being noticing that in the next room somebody is watching six televisions tuned variously to Animal Planet, Sci Fi Channel, Discovery, Oprah!, Law & Order, and perhaps QVC. It's a circus out there in the farther reaches of ourselves. It's the same with the Earth, only its channels come from the galaxy and one could make the case the programming is better.

Many people know the Earth's galactic TV channels as sacred sites. I like to call the entire set-up the planet's visionary geography. Like a fourth dimensional hologram quietly embedded in our three dimensional material reality, the Earth's visionary geography is a wild kingdom of galactic life. There are aliens from other stars running around all over the place in our midst.

I've made the subject seem a little flip, maybe even whimsical, but after all it is a fairly fantastic notion to broach when the only tangible evidence is your own eventual experience of it. There are at least three ways cosmopolitan Earth is made possible through its visionary geography or the galactic hologram.

First, there is an interactive energy feature I call a landscape zodiac. Picture an edited version of the galaxy, emphasizing the major constellations and the traditional signs (constellations) of the zodiac (on the ecliptic) and about 2,000 stars, represented in a hologram set upon a portion of the landscape, varying in diameter from one-half to one hundred miles in diameter. You could conceivably find the landscape touch-down point for the Pleiades, even specific stars in it, and even more conceivably, you could interact with Pleiadians through that conduit. Most probably the interaction would be subtle, on a visionary or psychic level.

Second, there are close to 1,800 energy canopies called domes settled over many of the planet's major mountain and volcanoes. The domes, though not physically present or visible, are what makes most sacred sites sacred. They give them a numinous quality that lifts consciousness. Each dome also corresponds to a specific star, not by archeoastronomical alignment, but again, by holographic co-presence. Mt. Palomar in Southern California, for example, is the dome-star for Alnilam, the middle star in Orion's Belt. This means you could psychically contact the energies, maybe even the presence, of beings from the Orion system there, and they could contact you, and the planet, as well, through there.

Third-this one is an even more direct, real-time connection with stars, planets, and the homeland of God-knows how many "alien" civilizations. I call them stargates, even though the term has been used often and usually to mean something else. There are many places on the Earth where actual transportation between Earth and other stars may be achieved. I have heard of people and even objects being moved through these stargates in the deep past; they are still among us, though very subtle, and twice removed from the third dimension.

These three features were part of the planet's original design, as implicit in its structure as a nose, elbow, and knee are for the human body. Earth was meant to be galactically cosmopolitan from its inception, and it's never stopped.

I know all this sounds like science fiction, and often I think I should write science fiction rather than investigate the metaphysical curiosities of our planet and try to persuade people these discoveries have plausibility, but no matter.

The point is, given I am long past going off the deep end so I'll enjoy the dip and stop worrying if you come swimming with me, through these three geomantic features of the Earth multiple alien civilizations, representatives, Lone Rangers, and even galactic trouble-makers-Pleaidians, Sirians, Greys, Arcturians, all the favorites of new age fable and science fiction-can regularly influence our life and reality and, if appropriate, interact with us at some level.

In fact, holographically, they already live amongst us, popping into vividness in our visionary geography if they feel like it through the landscape zodiacs or domes, or possibly popping with more palpability through the stargates. Which is why I can't stop chuckling when I hear a scientist earnestly proposing the theoretical possibility of extraterrestrial life or the atheist just as earnestly denying it. They've been here-we've been here-from the beginning.

Remembering a Lost Love

I have a friend who is 29.9 billion years old.
Yes, that is an outrageous statement, but it's an outrageous relationship. My friend's name is Blaise, but that's just my avuncular tag for them. My friend is actually a group of friends, all alike. The funny thing is, you know them too.

How long can a relationship last? For as long as there is memory and recognition. Like a wave, it can roll into and sink from acknowledgement, but it's still always there, abiding, twinkling, ready to burst into a blazing star.

I remembered them, then forgot them, and I did this hundreds of times. I once saw them as dancing, cavorting elephants with Fred Astaire top hats. Later I was relieved to find that was not such an unfounded fantasy, for the Hindus see them as an elephant god called Ganesh, remover of obstacles, and though Ganesh may not dance at the drop of a hat, he often seems amused. At other times the Hindus saw my friend as a vast winged bird bearing the god Vishnu through the many realms of existence. Similarly the Persian mystics described a marvellous, immortal bird called the Simurgh, also a transport for ecstatics.
Other times I've seen them with wings, lots of them, like huge, billowing, silken sails, or as a circle of enhaloed humans, taller than average and quite jovial, or as a single brilliant pinprick of light. Even more surprising, I often saw them, in the days before I remembered and was formally reintroduced to my long lost friends, as a pinprick of superbright light just above my belly button-in my body, somehow. And in other people's bodies too. Everyone's.

Perhaps that shouldn't be so outlandish. The Austrian clairvoyant Rudolf Steiner explained that the ten orders of angels all have roles in human life, in fact, participate, even support, different aspects of human physiology and consciousness, which means, at least mystically, if you look in the right way you might see hosts of angels in your body, in your breathing, walking, thinking, so why not at a point two inches above the navel and two inches inside?
That pinprick of light is tinier than the tiniest point of light, but brighter than anything a hundreds times that size. So bright it was, in fact, it was as if all the stars in the galaxy had been compressed into one almost infinitesimal point of light. Certainly a lot of angels get compressed into that pinprick, some forty million, and change. Let's say when they're feeling expansive, they can unfold and multiply themselves to a precise, very large number of manifestations.

A paradoxical friend, indeed. Both angels and a star. So tiny they are routinely overlooked, missed, unacknowledged, yet so vast they were once described by Ezekiel as the Wheel of God, the ofan, from which the Hebrew angelologists derived their formal name: Ofanim, the Wheels. I prefer Blaise, and they don't mind. It's comfortably close to their essence as a blazing star.

So what do they do with themselves during the day? They help people remember. Remember what? Who they were before the Fall. Before Eden. And they remind people how to use that arresting memory in the physical world. They inspire, they assist, they facilitate, they joke, they love from above. More properly, I should say they send Love from Above, they are Love from Above.

That sounds sweet, but what's it to do with the real world? With Iraq? It's a gentle uplifting pressure that helps you remember, and see, and to behold with equanimity. The world is not what it seems; it is much more than its surfaces. If the ten orders of angels have God-commissioned roles in the human form, then why not in the world at large too, in the Earth? Of course. Why not. They do.

Remembering a lost love, for me, is the same as remembering my old friend. And that is akin to remembering how things got here, this way. To look into the star is to look into the history of creation, both cosmic and local. You know, we could all be prophets, each of us an oracular seer speaking through a star. Or thinking, or painting, or composing, or dancing, or reflecting. Or helping to heal the Earth by helping the planet itself to remember, to wake and marvel at the congeries of angelic hosts amidst its own thriving body.

To be almost 30 billion years old gives you perspective. A little detachment. Patience. A desire to converse, and share. So if you happen to feel plucky and can give yourself permission to believe any of this, even if for only a few moments and then deeply in private, in some secret, unpublicized place within you, then may I suggest you try smiling at this tiny pinprick of very old light just above your navel. Just a little, sly, Mona Lisa smile. Your teeth don't even have to show, it's that low-key of a smile. Pretend, if you wish, that you are giving the wink to a friend, to someone once shockingly close from earliest childhood, their existence inexplicably forgotten until this very moment when like a snap, a brilliant tiny star pops into view within you and you're on again.

Canis Major page with parts of Puppis to find the position in the sky[/I]). On the left hand side (east) is rich M 46 (NGC 2437) and on the right hand side the brighter but more loose cluster of M 47 (NGC 2422). Just north of M 47 lies the small cluster NGC 2423. These clusters are only aligned by chance, M 46 is believed to be about three times more distant than M 47. So they are not a physical pair like for example it is believed today for h and chi Persei. An extraordinary feature of M 46 is the small planetary nebulae NGC 2438 at its northern border which can be seen as a reddish smudge on the above tele lens image. However, this nebula is probably just a foreground object. This pair of open star clusters in Puppis is a fine view for binoculars

The constellation of Virgo fills the entire image above (see lines). The field of this big constellation even spans a bit further out and does not completely fit into our standard field of view of about 40 x 25 degrees.

In mid of May the above field culminates at about 21:30 LT. The declination of Virgo ranges from -22 to +14 degrees. To find it at the sky you should have a look south of the constellations of Leo and Bootes. Brightest star is Spica (seen at the bottom) with visual magnitude of 1 and bluish spectral type B2.

Virgo is famous for its galaxies. The Virgo-Coma cluster of galaxies is several times larger than our own local group of galaxies. The cluster lies on the border between the constellations Virgo and Coma Berenices. The southern part of it is visible on the upper right of the above image. (See enlargements of deep sky objects.) Further objects for the observer are possible planets, since the ecliptic crosses Virgo. This makes Virgo a sign of the zodiac.

It seems that many of these mythological tales are actually ways of transmitting knowledge under the radar of the PTB and I'll think you'll notice that the story of Perseus is the only one with a happy ending, and it's the only myth depicted in the heavens with all its main players present.

Medusa could represent the matrix control over our minds.

Athene give Perseus a highly polished sheild and warns him never to look at Medusa directly - this could represent reading the signs and symbols of our reality.

Hermes gave Perseus a sickle - the power of the mind/frontal cortex: we cut through lies to the truth.

Perseus needed to collect a pair of winged sandals, a wallet to hold the head[of Medusa] in, and a helmet of invisibility. But these had to be obtained from the Stygian Nymphs: and the only ones who knew where they were, were the Graea who had a single eye and tooth between three of them. Perseus is clever and steals the eye and tooth while it is being passed about and refuses to return it until they tell him what he needs to know. The eye could represent the eye of Horus or the all-seeing-eye, and obtaining it could represent gaining knowledge of the matrix. You must know the enemy.
